CAUTION: College Fantasy Football is a special brand of psychological warfare where your Saturday happiness depends entirely on the third-string running back for Western Kentucky. It starts innocently enough, but before you know it, you’re ignoring your family’s Thanksgiving dinner because you need to see if a slot receiver from the Sun Belt is getting enough targets to secure your playoff spot. There is no greater "high" than successfully scouting a freshman breakout before the experts do, and no lower "low" than watching your QB1 get benched in the second quarter of a blowout while you’re screaming at a TV in a silent Buffalo Wild Wings. It’s a 24/7 obsession that turns rational adults into people who can recite the depth chart of the Ragin' Cajuns but can't remember their own wedding anniversary.

I'm currently in the middle of trying to project team level and player level stats for the 2026 CFB season and I thought this will be a fun experiment and off season hobby. Then you get to teams like Syracuse and Stanford and you quickly realize you need better hobbies.

Which coaches / schemes tend to rely most on their WR1s? Target share percentages over the last five years below.

- Removed teams throwing less than 30% (Rice, Air Force, Army) bc... who cares
- There is no obvious answer to the next Danny Scudero for San Jose State but will be taking shots late in drafts
- Toney, Smith, Sparks elite players in elite systems
- Really want to trust Omarion Miller, not lacking for talent, but ASU has great depth at WR

After seeing what appears to be a trend, I had someone ask what I attribute the apparent increase offensive returning production over the past several years to. I didn't have an immediate answer, but here's what I came up with. #CFB #CFF #CollegeFantasyFootball
