Ground Zero, Manhattan. September 2001.
The Twin Towers had collapsed into a 16-acre mountain of burning steel and toxic ash.
343 FDNY firefighters had died.
The National Guard had locked down the entire perimeter with barbed wire and rifles.
Strict federal order: ABSOLUTELY NO FOREIGNERS ALLOWED.
Eleven Japanese firefighters from Yokohama had just landed at JFK.
They had spent their own life savings on plane tickets after getting a desperate email from an FDNY friend:
“Our brothers are buried. Please help us.”
At the armed military checkpoint, a soldier pointed a rifle and blocked them:
“Orders are orders. Nobody from outside America enters this zone.”
The Japanese firefighters stood frozen in heartbreak.
They had flown 7,000 miles, and the door was slammed in their face.
Then came Mickey Kross.
An FDNY lieutenant who had miraculously survived the collapse of Tower 3.
Soot-covered, bleeding, uniform torn to shreds.
Mickey saw the Japanese rescue uniforms, saw their grief-stricken eyes, and went absolutely BERSERK.
He shoved his way past the guards, grabbed the steel gate, and screamed at the top of his lungs:
“LOOK AT THESE MEN!
THEY FLEW ACROSS THE PACIFIC ON THEIR OWN DIME TO DIG OUT OUR BURIED BROTHERS!
RULES?!
YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT RULES WHEN MY MEN ARE UNDER THAT RUBBLE?!
THEY ARE OUR BROTHERS!
OPEN THE DAMN GATE BEFORE I TEAR IT DOWN MYSELF!!”
The guards stepped aside.
The steel chains dropped.
That night, shoulder to shoulder, American and Japanese firefighters clawed through smoldering steel with bare hands, tears cutting clean lines through the black soot on their faces.
Before they parted, Mickey pulled the Yokohama chief into a fierce, bone-crushing hug:
“Thank you, brother. We will NEVER forget this.”
Ten years later, when the tsunami struck Japan,
24,000 American troops mobilized within hours.
Because when a true friend bleeds,
AMERICA DOES NOT HESITATE.
AMERICA CHARGES. 🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵
They said Sendai Airport was dead for at least six months.
On March 11, the tsunami turned the entire commercial hub into an apocalyptic swamp.
Hundreds of cars, crushed planes, shattered houses, and rotting fish were piled ten feet high across the tarmac.
The radar tower was wiped out.
No power. No fuel. No runway lights.
Japanese officials were in despair:
"It will take half a year before relief planes can land here."
Then twenty-four American Combat Controllers (CCT) from the 320th Special Tactics Squadron dropped in.
They didn't bring lawyers.
They didn't wait for environmental studies.
They brought crowbars, sledgehammers, handheld radios, and sheer, stubborn American willpower.
These 24 airmen worked 72 hours straight without sleeping.
They used their bare hands and tow straps to drag submerged sedans off the asphalt.
They cleared debris with shovels until their boots filled with blistered blood.
At night, with zero tower support, they stood on the freezing tarmac with handheld flashlights, guiding massive US Air Force C-130s loaded with emergency supplies onto a dark, cracked strip of concrete.
The Japanese government stared in shock.
SIX MONTHS OF BUREAUCRATIC WORK WAS FINISHED IN 72 HOURS.
Within days, that runway became the lifeline that fed two million starving Japanese citizens.
THAT is the American spirit.
When the world sees an insurmountable wall of disaster,
AMERICANS SEE A RUNWAY AND THEY CLEAR IT BY HAND.
God bless the United States Air Force.
Japan owes you our lives. 🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵
Kesennuma Oshima. March 2011.
A small island cut off from the world.
The ferry was smashed ashore. The harbor was a graveyard of floating houses, tangled nets, and massive splintered trees.
No power. No water. Freezing sub-zero nights.
3,000 Japanese civilians were shivering in the dark, whispering:
“Nobody is coming for us.”
Military manuals said: “Impossible. High risk of grounding. Do not approach.”
Then the loudspeaker on the USS Essex crackled:
“There is an isolated island. It is dangerous. Who volunteers to go?”
The sign-up list filled in TEN MINUTES.
Your Marines were literally shoving each other in the hallways yelling: “PUT ME ON THAT BOAT!”
Landing craft LCU 1664 charged full speed toward the shallow reef.
The ramp slammed down into the freezing surf.
Did your Marines wait for dry land?
HELL NO.
They charged waist-deep into the icy Pacific ocean with chainsaws and bare hands!
They ripped tangled nets apart with combat knives.
Three Marines at a time violently heaved multi-ton logs out of the surf with raw muscle power, screaming as they tore open a path for food, fresh water, and generators!
And when they set up camp?
They had hot portable field showers.
NOT A SINGLE MARINE USED THEM.
A young corpsman, face caked in black mud, smiled and said:
“If we use the water, there’s less for the islanders. We’re fine in the dirt.”
They slept on frozen mud so our grandmothers could have blankets.
They bled so our children could drink warm milk.
That is not diplomacy.
THAT IS RAW, UNBREAKABLE BROTHERHOOD.
God bless the United States Marine Corps. 🇺🇸🇯🇵
@SkylineReport@RapidResponse47 First the tax deduction is not a gift from the IRS. It’s the new law that the IRS just enforces. Second the deduction is thru 2028. Third list what are the billionaire handouts? Please be specific
CO2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere. Manmade CO2 is responsible for 11% of that 0.04%. So man is responsible for 0.0044%.
For our liberal friends here’s an example. To fly around the world you would travel 24,901 miles. 0.0044% of that would be 1/2 the length of the runway you plane would need to take off from.
@_alphashark_@Heminator “As diplomats gathered “ So everyone who works at State is a diplomat? Kind of like everyone who works for the airline is a pilot!

@steelers All these “experts” lamenting about no QB drafted. There’s a reason ur sitting in ur parents basement eating a sandwich that ur mom cut the crust off of and not in one of the 32 draft rooms.
@JordanDaBoss24@steelers Love this pick. We don’t need to draft a QB this year. Next year’s class is better. Plenty of options outside of Rogers out there also.
