James Van Der Beek’s final message to the world is one of the most powerful things I have ever heard. Stop whatever you are doing and listen to this! 🥺
I'd like to see someone do a study on how many QBs have faced the caliber of defense—specifically ones with the ability to pressure—that Maye saw in the playoffs: Chargers, Texans, Broncos, Seahawks. Context has to matter.
Patriots had a great year. And an abysmal Super Bowl. Both can be true. Maye is young. Vrabel and McDaniels are good. The future is bright. Even if the immediate present feels like it sucks.
So the Patriots have the league favorite for MVP playing quarterback and the Colts have this years version of Vikings Sam Darnold but it’s the Patriots who are “fools gold” and have “one-and-done” written all over them? Also, the schedule. Indy has beaten two teams with winning records. Two. Exact same situation with the Patriots. Here’s Indy’s schedule:
Mia (3-7)
Den (8-2)
Ten (1-8)
LAR (7-2) Loss
LV (2-7)
ARI (3-6)
LAC (7-3)
TEN (1-8)
PIT (5-4) Loss
ATL (3-6)
How is that slate any more impressive than the Patriots schedule???
