We are a community based first responder group, who are activated to assist the national ambulance service with certain life threatening calls in our area
Here are the enthusiastic participants from our recent CFR course! We had a wonderful mix of group members seeking recertification alongside local business employees eager to master AED usage in their communities. @AmbulanceNAS@CFRIreland
There was a fantastic turnout for last night's training scenario. The scenario tested Responders with a possibly unsafe scene, as they had to ensure the patient and environment did not pose a safety risk for themselves and others.
Members of the group attended a Health and Wellbeing Event in the Emerald Ballroom here in Ballinasloe last Friday. The members gave CPR demos, use of an AED and provided information to the public about the group
The group would like once again to thank Paolo for nominating the group for the appeal and all the management, staff and customers of Tesco for their generosity
Paolo, Eoghan, Claudia, Breda & Olivia from the group are pictured with Sarah Duggan Webb from Tesco, who presented the cheque to the group from the recent blue token appeal.
We’re included in the current round of the @TescoIrl Community Fund in Ballinasloe. If you’re shopping in this store over the next few weeks, we’d really appreciate if you’d vote for us using your blue token. @TescoIrlNews@AislingDSenator@BallinasloeLife
What can be said except massive congratulations to our fabulous volunteer / Instructor Denise, who is pictured here with her nomination for the people of the Year awards last night. Well done and well deserved 👏👏👏
Helen from our group is running a free ‘Hands for Life course’ in Ballinasloe Bridge Club (H53 N7X3, door to left of Cregg Stone) on Monday 16th Oct for “International Restart a Heart Day” 2pm -3.30pm.
The group are extremely grateful to Paul Walsh ( principal of Garbally College) and his staff for this donation and also to Mary Lyons (resuscitation officer, Portiuncula Hospital) for her assistance on the day
Last week members of the group assisted by the resuscitation department of Portiuncula Hospital provided a cpr refresher course for the teachers of Garbally college in Ballinasloe and were given a substantial donation by the staff towards the upkeep of equipment.
Thanks to Karyn Gavin and Galway Rural Development for funding and to Padraig & Frances Greene for installing it outside their premises for our group. Pictured are Helen, Aidan, Paulo and Denise from the group with Padraig & Frances and Karyn.
