Based in BHU since 2008, our centre works on unravelling the molecular mechanisms of genetic diseases and towards their diagnosis and management.

Last month, we had another newly minted PhD Dr Prashant Ranjan from our Centre from Prof Parimal Das group on the topic "Exploring congenital tooth agenesis: from integrated-omics insights through therapeutics". He finished his PhD with an ace with 29 peer-reviewed publications.

Last month, we had newly minted PhD, Dr Ajeet Kumar from Dr Akhtar Ali's group. His PhD title was "Genetic analysis of Hematological Malignancies in an Eastern Indian Population". He completed with flying colors with 8 peer-reviewed publications. All the best to him. #phdlife

Only about 40 cases of Ph+ MDS have been documented, mostly in progression to leukemia, with few de novo cases. Due to its rarity, Ph+ MDS is not included in the current WHO classification, and the role of tyrosine kinase inhibitors remains uncertain.
