Second-degree murder carries a maximum sentence of 40 years.
Third-degree murder carries a maximum sentence of 25 years.

Derek Chauvin has been found GUILTY on all 3 charges!! This is the best outcome we could have hoped for.
The punishment will never be enough for a cruel public execution in which Chauvin said "it takes a lot of oxygen to talk" as #GeorgeFloyd begged for his life.

830pm: police began firing tear gas, kettling protestors & continued throughout the night.

The use of chemicals irrantants would be a war crime if used against a foreign adversary, but it's apparently ok for a largely peaceful protest.

I won't be at all surprised when this escalation results in hundreds of buildings being looted and destroyed throughout the metro.
