Twitter is a great place because you mention that Canada deserves separate praise regarding CERB in comparison to the USA's stimulus and all of a sudden everyone thinks you support indigenous genocide
@LurieTha0ne@marxistbarbie69 Literally nothing. The only reason I have a roof over my head and food in my stomach is because the Canadian Government provided me with CERB when the pandemic hit. This thread is how I think Canada deserves praise of that CERB. Sorry your government failed you when you needed it
@THENECRONOMlCON@marxistbarbie69 I'm sorry to hear that man. The only reason I have a roof over my head today is that the CERB was available to me when the tourism industry came to a full stop I lost my job. Really hope thing turn around for you down there.
@CanuckArmada@marxistbarbie69 Ummm healthcare, gun control. Shit man, it's not just one thing. Or just 3 things. Are we better in absolutely everything? Hard no!!!
@Hagfishsaurus@marxistbarbie69 Could you please explain how our native population has anything to do with my point above? Or are you just looking to change the conversation? Because if that's the case, I agree, which I've already mentioned, that we deserve no praise.
@anarcaleb @marxistbarbie69 And I’m so sorry to hear that! This conversation isn’t about how America has fucked over their citizens in a pandemic. The OP asked if Canada deserves any credit outside “not being American” and yes we do, for how we handled CERB was my point.
The doctor at the hospital literally just told the woman who came in with a knee injury that she needs to take a pregnancy test because in his opinion “everyone woman is pregnant unless I confirm otherwise”
@kodyrhinestone You literally just flipped a switch and changed the subject. If you had asked me “do you think Canada deserved praise for indigenous genocide?” Then absolutely not!
@anarcaleb @marxistbarbie69 I said we deserve praise for how we handled the pandemic with CERB? Not once did I mention Canada is perfect and doing every single thing right, or doing things horribly wrong???
@saratwopoint0@marxistbarbie69 Again, going back to my original point, my government gave me 2k a month during a pandemic when I was laid off so that I could afford a roof over my head and food in my stomach. Canada’s response to the pandemic does earn praise over the US $600 stimulus.
