a horror film that deals with religion based homophobia and how queer kids can rise above it all and make better lives for themselves oh leviticus you are so loved by me
SPOILERS: LEVITICUS was SO PEAK i loved the ending where they end up together instead of apart, they finnaly showed two gay characters allowing themselves to be together instead of fearing what everyone else thinks which most queer characters are forced to do #leviticustwt
Joe Bird on ‘Leviticus’ being a queer horror:
“I remember reading the script and thinking, ‘I’ve never heard of a gay horror film before.’ That immediately drew me in.”

@ryanaimology I fully get that it has enough of an open ending for people who don’t want a hopeful ending to believe it, but it definitely ends on a hopeful note
I think one of my favorite things on the topic of “X industry is losing so much money because of Gen Z” is how the simplest answer is usually that we can’t afford it because everything is too expensive or we don’t make enough but they avoid explicitly stating it that way
Okay yall I was a little nervous about the cast shake ups going into season 51 of @nbcsnl (and there are still a few I’m upset about) but these new guys came in so strong this year, I’m impressed!
@FerMPalazzo@imbetterthanyue Honestly they just want to argue. Maybe the show made them upset or they’re just projecting. This show has helped so many people but because one person is being loud, they think it means they’re right. Saying they don’t care about how it helped you instantly invalidated them
What I hate about this take is that, at its core, this is what media is meant to be. There can be media about the harsh realities of life, but there are also supposed to be options for shows that rely on fantasy, to escape reality. We need to just let joyful things be joyful.
