Number 11 - Gravity Industries Jet Suit. It's seven small gas turbines spinning at about 120,000 rpm, and you steer it by moving your arms to point the thrust. It runs on jet fuel, diesel or biofuel. Founder Richard Browning holds the Guinness record in it at 85.06 mph.

@IntEngineering Surviving a 400°F hot box, wow. What's the cycle life, and does it hold up at fast-charge rates?

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@SawyerMerritt @bot Does the person on the other end get told up front they're talking to an AI? That decides how businesses react to this.

@testingcatalog Less re-auth is great until something goes wrong. Who revokes access when a plugin misbehaves: the user, the plugin, or Anthropic?

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@spaceandtech_ Despite the issues, this is wild.

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@refueled I sucked at flying her

If you’re under 26, you have never lived a day without someone orbiting above you.

26 years ago today, the first resident crew arrived at the ISS. Humanity has had a home in space ever since.

The research and advances made possible by our crews, teams on the ground and international partners have helped prepare us to live and work on the Moon and Mars.

As we transition to the next era of our presence in low Earth orbit, we build on everything they have made possible.

@MichaelSavaged A rough 20,400 ft to 14,000 ft in 11 seconds.
6,400 ft / 11 s = about 582 ft/s
That's roughly 34,900 ft/min.

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@MichaelSavaged Sir I beg to differ

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@rasmushauschild What level of propulsion reliability do you think you will be able to achieve?

Any planned redundancies?

[Rasmus Hauschild @rasmushauschild]

v4 is flying!

ground-up redesign, 6 kg lighter, new propulsion system, stiffer structure, and rewritten firmware modules.

hover stability is solid and control authority is significantly better.

team’s been cooking

[Tesla @Tesla]

POV you’re a flying car

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@Adam_C_Kelley @NASASpaceflight Wasn’t a stab more wondering.

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@mdelling @engineers_feed Yeah its Johns fault 😂

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@TheRundownAI Astra rewriting other models from the inside. What's the eval that proves it made them better and not just different?

[Chad Bowes @Chadiccus]

@IntEngineering Two launches that both have to show up on time. How long can Mengzhou loiter in lunar orbit if Lanyue slips?
