“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Keith Jarrett’s solo performance of “Over the Rainbow” in Tokyo in 1984 is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding and moving piano solo covers of all time. Rather than simply restating the familiar melody, the legendary pianist infused the piece with new life through his brilliant improvisation, refined harmonic structure, and profound emotional depth.
In Sacha Baron Cohen’s new movie, “Ali G: Who Iz I?” he plays three characters who interact with real people. The scale of the challenge was unlike anything he had undertaken before.
“We had to have, you know, prosthetic teams working on this for years. We had animatronic teams. There are hundreds and hundreds of things that can go wrong, and each of them has to go right,” he says. https://t.co/XkSU32Ok9w

Tesla's new Roadster hung almost upside down 65 feet off the ground, let go, and caught itself before it landed. The only thing it used to stop the fall was air.
Without the thrusters, that's a bad two seconds. From 65 feet, about six stories, a car hits the pavement doing roughly 44 mph. Nobody was inside. Elon said the car drove itself for the demo "to make sure we don't kill anyone."
Watch the readout in the bottom left as it drops. It jumps to 3.1 G at 31 feet as the thrusters fire, which is about how hard you get pressed into your seat at the bottom of a big roller coaster drop. While that's happening, attitude thrusters roll the car right side up and thrusters at the corners fire straight down to set it on its wheels.
The tanks hold about 250 kg of ordinary air, crammed into two carbon-wrapped pressure vessels totaling 600 liters, the same kind of tank SpaceX flies on its rockets. That works out to air roughly 340 times denser than what you're breathing, stored at several hundred atmospheres. Tesla says it leaves the nozzles faster than the speed of sound and the system puts out more than 80 kN, enough force to hold up over 8,000 kg.
The white cloud it lands in comes from the air too. Gas expanding that violently gets cold enough to turn the moisture in the night air into fog on the spot. Nothing on the car is burning.
And the tanks refill themselves. Elon says the Roadster can pump them back up on its own, which means the propellant for that six-story catch was the same air you're breathing right now.
SNL took a barbershop, three men with personal problems, and some questionable life advice and turned them into a comedy sketch.
But the cleverest part of “Uneek Kutz Barbershop” isn’t just the jokes.
It’s how the entire idea is constructed.
Here’s how it works.
Fred Armisen claims he can master any accent from any region or town in the world.
"Yes, I can do any accent accurately, you can check up on it. Any small part of a town, any big city, whatever you want, I can do it all. United States, around the world, any of them"
"Minsk is a very tight Russia. They struggle with the English. So Minsk da, da, spasiba. So like Moscow be more like spasiba, more open for Russia, for Moscow, but Minsk Minsk is a tighter, tighter. It's just it's again, I have to believe you, it sounds good"
"Hamburg, ah, natürlich. So in Germany and so, yeah, so Munich is Munich is a a little like this, but Hamburg, ah, yes, and it's a little Hamburg and so, that is yeah good and uh, it's the most educated and so, so uh, so Berlin is a little more like loud and confident, but Hamburg is more conservative, so"
"Fargo, it's not like you think it has. It's not because it's not like it's not like the show and it's not like the movies you've seen, but there is something kind of, it's a little faster than you think. It's a little faster and he ka ba. So it kind of, I always think of Fargo for you open up the a's, open them up. Fargo, yeah, North Dakota, cota. Not not Dakota, it's Decata. Decata"
"Jamaica: Yeah, you know what the hell was that? I can't it's going to come off so terrible. Come on. Jerk chicken. Jerk don't I can't"
Joe Rogan, Ehsan Ahmad and Deric Poston react to Elizabeth Holmes and the new documentary about her.
The fact that Deric had no idea who she was makes his reaction to this video 10x better.
For anyone else who missed this story, Holmes founded Theranos, a blood-testing company that was once valued at $9 billion. She was hailed as the next Steve Jobs before it all came crashing down.
The technology didn't live up to the claims, Theranos collapsed, and Holmes was eventually convicted of defrauding investors and sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.
But watch this video of her. Because it's freaking creepy.
