Today, the MS Senate voted to confirm Dr. Lance Evans as the State Superintendent of Education. In December 2023, the State Board of Education named Dr. Evans to the post. Senate confirmation was required to complete the appointment process. Dr. Evans will begin July 1. #MsEdu
Today, the State Board of Education recognized North Panola Career and Technical Center for being the national high school winner of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Invent2Prevent contest, which challenged students to create programs to prevent targeted violence.#MsEdu
