Given that Omicron is clearly everywhere in UK now, the ongoing punishment of South Africa in terms of red list travel restrictions seems pointless & particularly unfair given it was their brilliant scientists who first uncovered this variant for the world.

Omicron is not a 'South African variant', it's a variant that was spotted & reported by brilliant South African scientists so fast the world has a chance to get on top of it. Could have originated anywhere.

Just picked up the 16” MacBook Pro with the new #Apple M1 Pro chip.

Decided that the M1 Max chip would be overkill for me (and is most likely overkill for anyone else buying one 🤫)

What would you like to know about it?

Coming from a 2018 MacBook Pro 15”.

@grantshapps unless your loved ones live in South Africa. @BorisJohnson why is SA still on the red list? They’re Delta dominant (just like us, and India - no longer on the red list). Makes no sense.
