I had literally the exact same experience. Mission work with my Christian high school, and then more when I got to college. After about the 5th project involving building or cleaning something while being watched by the bored and unemployed locals, I quit helping the community.

I was told that they were impoverished people who needed help. I eventually learned that they are simply niggers who not only are too stupid and lazy to help themselves, but they literally resent you for doing the work
