oot was one of my first games ever and holds a very special place in my heart. so on one hand, i'm overjoyed, and on the other... i can't help but imagine what this would look like if hyper-realism was less idealized
the old games were directly inspired by ghibli films. where is the stylization? the softer backgrounds? the simplification for the sake of expression? You can see hints of it in the previews of the town or whatever, but it feels so detached from the og's visual identity...
@slinkybox In psychology, the term is called DARVO and stands for Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. It usually stems from shame over their behaviour and/or an inability to sit with the discomfort that they did something wrong. They'd sooner deny reality than face the consequences.
