If you're a cricket fan, then "15th November, 2023" isn't just any other random date. It just holds so much value in multiple contexts.

There are so many greats of ODI cricket in different eras, but very few of them can be called LEGENDS and Virat Kohli is one of those players. If we look at his ODI numbers, it's mindboggling. No one even comes close to his runs, average, and hundreds in an ODI run-chase but a big knock (preferably a hundred) in a World Cup knockout was one last puzzle missing in his illustrious ODI career. Something which I'm sure even Virat must have wanted to achieve because we all know how that was one stat where he used to get trolled but that day, in front of a packed Wankhede crowd against New Zealand, who used to be our nemesis in these ICC tournaments, especially for him as a Captain to score that brilliant Hundred in the presence of Sachin Tendulkar who he has grown up watching must have been amazing. A feeling that he had to carry for so many years as a responsibility, and he even fulfilled it for us fans.

Scoring 50th ODI Hundred in a World Cup Semi-Final, the most by anyone in this format, and the last to ever score these many hundreds in this format. Yes, you read that correctly. It can't get any more ICONIC than this. I think Virat was already the GREATEST ODI batter for so many cricket fans even before this hundred happened but 2 years ago on this day, he even went past in that 1 stat as well to put any debates to an end if there was any left. A day that I will never forget in my life. One of my fondest memories of watching him bat, and can proudly say I've watched all of his 50 ODI hundreds.
