@LastLightStd Thanks! That's the hit stop effect.
It's a small detail, but it makes a huge difference in how impactful the combat feels. I'm still tweaking it, but I'm happy to hear it's noticeable.
I completely reworked the parry system in my Sekiro-inspired 2D RPG โ๏ธ
Chaining parries now feels much smoother, more responsive, and way more satisfying.
The demo will receive a new update very soon.
Does this capture the Sekiro feeling? ๐

@PlayGameGen Thank you! Glad to hear the timing window feels readable.
I've been focusing a lot on the parry feedback lately, so it's great to hear the atmosphere and visuals are helping too. Still plenty left to improve, but this is encouraging!
I went into Steam Next Fest with 532 wishlists.
I came out with 2,000+.
Seeing so many people discover the game has been incredible.
Thank you for all the support โค๏ธ
@TraitRoguelite Thank you! โค๏ธ The water shader is a combination of scrolling noise textures, distortion/refraction, and some color/depth blending to create movement and variation. I also added highlights and subtle wave animation to make it feel more alive.
