Most, I repeat most of my residents at Indian medical other colleges are pro-protest even if they don't understand the scheme of things.

This is mainly influenced by the Government's indifference towards NBEMS. Last 4 NEET PGs, since 2022 have been postponed due to some reason or the other. Regarding NEET SS, better not to talk about it.

People blame it on the Centre, I will to. But for NBEMS, a lot of time is wasted in ensuring coordination with multiple stakeholders.

The Govt always prioritizes the last man standing, but the providers?

You've literally loaded the system with doctors, lowered the passing standards and plagued healthcare with generation of unemployable and inefficient individuals roaming with MBBS, MD, MSc degrees. Giving false hopes to too many.

Needs cleanup, otherwise could become the source for next Jantar Mantar protest.

Sane voices please amplify. I know that the Govt has a lot on its plate right now, but this can't be ignored any longer.

I challenge them to publicly disclose which vehicles they’ve actually tested, how many kilometers those vehicles have covered, and whether they’ve been tested in high-altitude and real-world driving conditions or are these just controlled lab tests like the ones by ARAI?

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: companies like Mahindra seem more focused on maximizing sales than standing by their customers. By blindly supporting these fuel policies without transparent real-world validation, they’re only giving the government more justification to push them further.

TN has coastal advantage that favors export oriented mega manufacturers. KL is a remittance economy. Comparing these two with hinterland UP and Bihar that suffered 6 decades of Congress - SP/RJD rule is unfair.

​India transitioned into a lower-middle-income country in 2009 and has remained in that category for nearly two decades. Our current national GDP per capita is approximately $2,800.

​Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu has consistently focused on balancing economic growth with social welfare. By the end of this year, the state is projected to reach a GDP per capita of around $6,500- the highest among India’s large states.

​As a state in India, Tamil Nadu has already surpassed the average income levels of these newly elevated upper-middle-income countries.

​India’s national average of $2,800 masks more than it reveals. On one side, you have states like Tamil Nadu at $6,500; on the other, states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar hover around $1400 and $950, respectively. Consequently, India remains a country with stark regional inequality while still being relatively poor overall.

​Furthermore, as noted recently, Tamil Nadu and Kerala maintain some of the lowest internal inequality rates in the nation.

​That is why I keep repeating this point: the next 15 years represent a critical, "make-or-break" economic window for India.
