Happy to share latest paper at @scienceTM from our Prometheus consortium on broadly neutralizing antibodies against emerging hantaviruses from human convalescent donors. We're especially excited about one particular antibody we've identified. https://t.co/aqCjEcgPCZ 1/10
Harnessing structural and functional techniques, researchers identify and optimize a pan #hantavirus antibody that can protect rodents against infections with the evolutionarily distinct Puumala virus & Andes virus. @MittlerEva@Guardado_Calvo@EinsteinMed https://t.co/7vFA6ZbNWj
New paper from @taaron24 and co-authors which shows how TNFalpha inflammation reduces antibody duration by driving plasma cells out of the bone marrow. Thanks to our collaborators in @ChandranLab lab.

We have a post-doc position open in my new group at the Institut Pasteur. If you or someone you know is interested in structural virology, this is a great opportunity! We offer a great working environment and good resources to help you succeed in your research.
@Amelia_Lindsey We've had Pacific Immunology make peptide antisera in rabbits for over a decade now and are happy with the pricing, service, and product. They help you pick the peptides and do everything else, and you get sera shipped.

Hope pan-Ebola cocktail MBP134, discovered by @ZABornholdt, @AnnaWec1, @LauraWa27423872, @RobertWCross, @bmgunn31++others, developed by Mapp+@BARDA, makes it into people. Single dose reverses severe Sudan virus disease in nonhuman primates. In Phase I rn. https://t.co/gV1Ob9wEe1
With 64 probable infections and 30 deaths across 5 districts, the Ebola outbreak in Uganda is already one of the largest on record.
See why @DanielBausch2, @BrakaFiona, @ChandranLab, and Gary Kobinger are worried in my latest for @Nature:

I regret to announce that we have lost our first doctor, Dr Mohammed Ali, a Tanzanian National, 37yr old Male today at 3:15am. He tested positive of Ebola on Sept 26, 2022 and died while receiving treatment at Fort Portal RRH, Isolation facility ( JMedic).
Uganda, already weakened by the coronavirus pandemic and budget cuts, is struggling to contain an Ebola outbreak caused by a vaccine-resistant strain https://t.co/kmmzDW5z4F
Last Monday my PhD advisor, Marc Caron, died suddenly. Everyone who knew him is grieving. He was a phenomenal family man, mentor, and scientist.
Hearing stories throughout the week has been helping me cope so I wanted to share some of my fav Marc memories
