✅️calling is not a glossy smear over the hard, ugly, painful things of your life. Consider how they will affect your mission.
✅️if you are called into darkness to bring light (justice, exposure), you'll need to do deeper work than reading Do Hard
Things. You'll need an anchor for your soul. Fire in your eyes, steel in your mind, velvet in your heart.
✅️Stop following and listening to the shiny, glamorous folks in the spotlight. Find the dusty, disheveled, scarred ones underground and listen carefully to them.
I read a newsletter this morning in which the ques was asked why isn't there more of an uprising about the issues surrounding childcare. The statement was made that parents are basically left to fend for themselves. Black women and families have known and felt this for decades.
