Ford's promises on LTC don't go nearly far enough. We need an emotion-based model of care in all LTC homes. See our website for information on some of these very successful models of care. https://t.co/c5qsqnnXtL. Keep the pressure on!

With a large majority, Ford is in a position to do good things for Long-term Care. Let's all hold him accountable and make it happen. Emotion-based care in a home-like environment is the right model of care for our vulnerable seniors. #ChangeLTCNow
Ontario desperately needs transformation to an emotion-based model of care in its Long-term Care homes. Help make this a June, 2022 election issue. We can't waste another month without drastic change in LTC. #ChangeLTCnow
Given nothing in the Federal Budget for Long-term Care, it's even more important to make this an important election item provincially. Talk to hopeful MPPs who come to your door to talk about what's important to you & what is in (or not in) their party platforms. #ChangeLTCNow
After the experience in LTC over the last two years it's impossible to believe there was nothing in the budget. Devastating for those who are a part of it each and every day.
Don't forget to register for CARP Ottawa's Webinar on The Village Concept - emotion-based care in Comox, B.C. (publicly funded LTC Home).

Our Government must put LTC residents and the staff who care for them before profits. True culture change is necessary in all of our LTC homes. It simply cannot come fast enough!
Lots of news about building new LTC homes/beds. Very little coming from the government about changing how care is delivered. More beds with the same old institutional care - even with more staff - will change NOTHING for residents. Emotion-based care is a MUST! #ChangeLTCNow
The pandemic may have "peaked" but the fight for even the most basic care in LTC homes is far from over. Staffing issues continue to be extremely challenging, our elderly - who deserve so much - are left wanting.
#ChangeLTCnow!
Staffing levels in #LTC homes are at unprecedented low levels. Residents may die from lack of care - remaining staff are running on empty. What is the plan??? How long can this go on?@PaulCalandra@fordnation@celliottability
The new LTC Act has been passed. When the associated regulations are made public there will be a 60-day window to comment on them. I hope everyone who wants to see a change from institutional to emotion-based care in LTC will take advantage of this opportunity! #ChangeLTCNow
