Retired from teaching, voice overs and property business.
Mother,99, in care home.
Writer of stories inspired by the grandchildren.
Still living the dream.
My mother, forever 99, is coming home tomorrow. I chose white tulips for her room and a CD that we used to listen to together. Oh and two lanterns to hold the white candles. She liked white. I feel honoured to have her home and apprehensive that emotion will overwhelm.
I have spent hours today trying to write a fitting eulogy for my mother, forever, 99 and a half. She is going to have the longest funeral service ever because I can’t stop writing. Friends and family will require soft seats and sustenance because I haven’t stopped yet!
@Changinghomes The pleasure and joy was all ours 💟. How one person can bring a gentle word, a considered observation and a show of appreciation. That is a quality beyond measure 💟.
@Changinghomes The dawn broke with hesitancy. The birds sang with less joy. The wind whispered quietly, knowing something had changed in the world 💟. Thank you for everything you both brought to us, and our home. Your wonderful mother, forever 99, will be very much missed in our world ❤️.
@Changinghomes I’m so sorry to hear this sad news. I enjoyed the times I got to spend with her, she always enjoyed our activities, & I enjoyed spending time chatting with her, she was a truly lovely lady. Thinking of you & the family at this time x
What happens when we need help as we get older? My mother, 99, made the most amazing amount of friends and enjoyed so many activities @aslocktonhall We could not have wished for a more generous spirited home than Aslockton Hall. Our heart felt thank you.❤️
