Critical thinking is not only hard to teach, it's hard to assess. This can influence teachers to focus on other, more measurable instructional goals.

If we had the ability to widely assess w/ open-ended questions we might see trends that support cognitive-based instruction

@heymrsbond If AI generates responses for you, there is no personal creativity and opinion present. Most assignments in this class are reflective and maximizes student voice and choice. If generative AI is used as a source, then it should also be cited properly.
