@BibimBallers For the media to know how they held a meeting with high-ranking Football Association officials, down to what time it lasted, who left early, and who left late—it’s definitely an insider leaking it. Who could it be?
This kind of thing has been repeating for years now.
@BibimBallers Above all, I really hate that someone keeps leaking what happens inside the national team to the outside.
The more the media makes a fuss about it, the more unsettled the squad will become.
@jtjt008@RoofTopMariner It’s policy, not talk. Last year, 17 division-level units were disbanded or merged, and the Military Manpower Administration stated they have plans to draft orphans, North Korean defectors, and naturalized citizens. You can't say 'a few people don't matter' anymore.
@jtjt008@RoofTopMariner Actually, according to yesterday's official briefing by the Ministry of National Defense spokesperson, the shrinking pool of military manpower IS explicitly cited as a key factor being considered, alongside equity and public consensus. It definitely plays a part.
@TheSunFootball That’s an incredible lineup.A few of these players didn't have long careers, but every single one of them made a massive impact. I still remember Martial making those RMD defenders look like fools in preseason. Back then, I genuinely thought, ‘Yep, he really is the next Henry.’
@RoofTopMariner After all, athletes in other sports who received military exemption benefits were genuinely congratulated and cheered on.
They should have taken a cue from Son Heung-min’s attitude during his interview after getting his military exemption last time.
@RoofTopMariner Of course, if troop numbers genuinely run short down the road, it was going to be an inevitable issue anyway, but their words and actions moved it forward by at least 10 years.
Is it really that hard to just say, 'Thank you for supporting us' or 'Thank you for celebrating our win'?
Junior athletes are going to end up resenting them so much for this.

An escalating controversy sparked by careless remarks from several athletes after the Asian Games

Things are blowing way out of proportion because of a few players' stupid actions and comments. It’s gotten to the point where politicians from both sides of the aisle are stepping in and speaking with one voice.
@TheAthleticFC but simply to achieve their personal goal of securing an exemption. That is truly appalling, especially when you think of those who are serving the nation at this very moment.
@TheAthleticFC In a climate like this, it is almost inevitable for people to feel resentment toward military exemptions granted to sports stars.
What makes it even worse are interviews implying that these athletes weren't playing to represent the country,
