BREAKING: Thai Army on late Wednesday afternoon denied having shot at or injured Cambodian civilians today. The denial came after Cambodian media reports that 5 Cambodian civilians were injured after being shot by Thai soldiers.
The Thai Army said Cambodia caused commotion near Ban Nong Ya Kaeo, fired small arms for 10 minutes, provoking a sesponse and hoping to create a situation for Thai forces.

​Colonel Richa Sooksuwanon, Deputy Spokesperson for the Royal Thai Army (RTA), clarified that the Army had checked with the Burapha Force and confirmed that at approximately 4:00 PM today, small arms fire was heard from the Cambodian side for about 10 minutes in the area opposite Ban Nong Ya Kaeo, Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province. The Thai side was prepared and did not retaliate in any way, he stressed. It is expected that the action was taken by the Cambodian side to create a situation and provocation.

Ministry of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia Phnom Penh, 3 August 2025

The Spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia would like to inform the general public and the international community that, according to received information at 10:49 a.m. on 3 August 2025, the Thai military, in cooperation with Thai authorities, has instructed its remaining civilians in the border area of Surin Province to evacuate by tonight.

The same sources also confirmed that the Thai military plans to launch attacks along the border starting from the Tamone Thom Temple, Ta Krabey Temple, Preah Vihear Temple, up to the Anseh area. These attacks are expected to commence soon, prior to the scheduled meeting of the Extraordinary Meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) on 7 August 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This planned offensive constitutes a violation of the territorial sovereignty of Cambodia before the GBC meeting, and it is a serious breach of the ceasefire agreement mutually agreed upon by both countries on 28 July 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, with Malaysia, the United States, and China as witnesses.

Cambodia appeals to the international community to help prevent this at all costs and urges the Thai side to immediately stop its planned aggression, if this information is true, and to respect the ceasefire agreement fully for the sake of peace and stability along the border areas of both countries and the entire region.

Two Cambodian soldiers are released today, one is severely injured, and another one is in psychiatric condition. So far, 18 Cambodian soldiers are yet to release by Thai army. They were captured in good condition and mental stable but looks at their condition right now. Thailand you're evil.
