😢 So many thoughts… about how we expect compliance and the best students have to give without fully understanding or acknowledging their lived experiences. But often expect others to provide grace and compassion to us when dealing with difficult things.
Short Films are required to be under 20 minutes or in some cases under 15 minutes
This film is 3 minutes 53 seconds & still won the Oscar
If you don’t watch this film you’re doing yourself an injustice
If you don’t spread this film you’re doing everyone else an injustice
I've been teaching for over 20 years, and these are 8 rules I live by:
1. Spend the first week or two learning about each of your students—their passions and concerns. This effort will make your school year smoother because your students will know that you genuinely care.

This is how we want to raise our students!
That is legitimately the epitome of leadership-having the best interest of the team in mind. Having the ‘C’ is one form of leadership and Tavares continues to demonstrate another. Great role model for young and old alike. 🙌🏼
🚨I want every Tavares hater to watch this.
We should all aspire to raise young men that turn into this kind of human being. This is real leadership. No ego and pure class. https://t.co/GbhO2ZMa3K
If you have a few moments to listen to this interview as a parent with your child.
Possible one of the best post race interviews I have ever watched #PlayOn
Such a powerful quote here. The reality is people won’t find fault in those who rest in the land of mediocrity. The people who endure the most criticism are highly motivated. As long as you are standing still, no one will complain.
Whether you are a teacher or in an administrative role…
🔹Don’t stand still.
🔺Take the leap.
🔹Try new things.
🔺And always do what’s best for kids, even when it’s hard.
Will you be criticized by some? Yes.
But is this leadership? Absolutely yes.
Remember…
Dogs don’t bark at parked cars…
…They bark at the cars who are moving.
Keep moving forward and keep doing what’s best for kids.
This is leadership.
"We are not looking for students to have one great year or one great teacher, we want students to have great teachers and profound success every year of their school career, and we can only accomplish this through transformative teams who tap into the power of collective efficacy."

Do we really know our content standards or maybe we're just teaching what's in our textbooks? What if we're misinterpreting them or teaching standards that are not from our grade level? This happened to me for 4 years! Read more: https://t.co/hhCSSqHD9e #iteachmath#MTBoS
Most changes make things worse before they get better. Courageous leadership understands this and more importantly embraces this fact in order to improve. Don’t expect change to be easy…it’s not, so dig in. @cassaacgcs#LeadershipMatters
