@PeikGabriel Just checked out your game, looks really cool! Love the ink-wash style. I’m actually working on an ink-wash game too, though it’s a pretty different style haha.
30 projects in one month is wild! Definitely down to connect! 😄
Indie dev from China here 🇨🇳
Just a guy building games, apps, and random stuff that pops into my head.
Would love to meet more builders from around the world.
Where are you from, and what are you working on? 👀
@sebs_tweets Agree. AI got me a whole kung fu game fast, but nothing told me it wasn't fun until I played it myself. That part still has to come from you.
@vin_niss@carrotsucker64 Nice, that carries over well. Chinese stroke order is pretty consistent: top to bottom, left to right, outside before inside. Even the box 口 goes left side first, then top and right, then the bottom.
I ran bots on my kung fu game's duel rules.
If the defender never changes anything, the attacker wins 98-100%.
If both change one thing each, it drops to 48%.
That's the whole reason I'm making players adapt mid-fight.
@fariraijames A kung fu browser game with an ink-wash look, all the ink drawn in code. Still in design, I'm reworking the gameplay after my own build didn't hook me. 😂
New month, new stuff to build.
I’m working on games, apps, and whatever random ideas pop into my head.
Any devs, indie hackers, or people building cool stuff here? Would love to connect and see what you’re working on.
What are you building this November?
@PeikGabriel Hey, nice to meet you! A kung fu browser game with an ink-wash look, all the ink drawn in code. Still in design, I'm reworking the gameplay after my own build didn't hook me. What are you making?
@zuess05 True, but a working demo doesn't mean it's fun. Mine ran fine and I still stopped coding after I played it myself, because it just didn't hook me.
9 days into my kung fu game. I've changed my mind 22 times.
Then I played it, and it didn't hook me.
So I stopped coding and rethought it: a mountain nobody can climb alone.
Just started building it. Would you climb?
(Built with AI. Every frame and every note of this video is code too.)
@Kedeodev Yeah, that's how it went with my last game. I dropped it after redoing the art too many times, and the new one felt fun to work on right away.
@xevrion_the1 Good plan 😄 If you want it to be addicting, watch whether you keep playing after the testing is done. That's how I knew mine wasn't there yet.
