@erryknotarryk i’ve literally had to argue with people that statements made by characters in a story are not facts beyond doubt. some people don’t have all the info and some are wrong. sometimes a character will say something you know to be false.

it’s so frustrating.

@GOAThrones @WeThrones it’s funny, so many people say that george never actually did ‘what was aragorns tax policy’ but they just ignore ADWD. That aspect is actually the most interesting! Small council scenes via Tyrion, Cersei, Ned, all are the highlights of the series imo

@WeThrones Yeah, George never had Daenerys deal with complexities of leadership and the bureaucracy related to ‘doing good’ or ‘being a good ruler’, sucks that never showed up. Basically non existent in the books. She just kinda wins and moves on lol how crazy

How did the Cargyll twins die? Did the Brothel Queens happen? None of these are set in stone, and are literally up for interpretation.

@prince4_shadow @springends @SupposeIRose @samanthatarly are you okay? the book is clearly written to NOT give exact retelling of events and statements, the ‘point’ of george’s writing it is he enjoyed the concept and wanted to expand on the targ history without making hard choices. it’s a ‘valid source’ but that doesn’t mean (1/2)

there’s like 2, maybe 3 sexual assaults in the books that are on-page, because it isn’t necessary to fucking show. it can be referenced or explained, but why show it?
