‘When you find a job you love, you’ll never work a day in your life’. Watching Super Surgeons last night brought back memories of this wonderful gentleman - what an honour to have known him. 🤍@royalmarsden#supersurgeons
After months of discussions with various members of the Head & Neck team, and a lot of admin…today the first patient has been booked into our brand new Physiotherapy clinic 🙌🏼 🙌🏼 excited to get it up & running in 2025!
@debbiewheddon @ImperialPeople Huge congratulations to 10s ward team for winning the quarterly make a difference award for making a patients discharge wishes come true! #Teamwork makes the dream work!
The loveliest lady and an absolute dream to work with! So much admiration for what’s she’s been through & I’m proud to have been a part of her journey.
“I’ve been treated at @royalmarsdenNHS for over 20 years - I’ve had cancer six times and I’m still here to tell the tale...” 💬

Great day at @BAHNOOfficial with so many fantastic speakers. It was great to see some of my old colleagues and meet new ones, as well as seeing @RuthPri04722537 represent Physiotherapy in this population. I’m learning so much & absolutely loving the process!
Nearly at the end of Week 1 at @ImperialNHS.
Forgot how exhausting it is starting a new job & meeting so many new people, but so far it’s been fantastic. Excited to see my progression specialising in Head & Neck/ENT!
A fantastic hospital and an even more incredible team!! Highly highly highly recommend 🌟 I have adored my time here & will miss all my colleagues & patients so much 🫶🏼

‘You have a kind heart, & you make a difference’ - is there a better compliment? This is the exact reason I love what I do.
Only 2 more weeks at @royalmarsdenNHS… this place is so special and my patients and colleagues will be incredibly hard to leave.
I love love love rapport building.
Getting patients on board with physical exercise throughout chemotherapy is a mission at the best of times.
But I think a tricky personality has finally been cracked, and my gosh I feel accomplished. Now to help them get fit for surgery! 🥳
After 4 months on my Prehab rotation, I had the opportunity to see one of my patients undergo their Ivor Lewis Esophagectomy today.
I learnt a huge amount, and think I will have a bit more sympathy from now on!
Big thanks to Mr Kumar for having me in your theatre.
As an inpatient physio, name a better feeling than working with a long term ICU patient. He survived, the sparkle in his personality has come back, & today he stepped for the first time in months.
Not your typical Friday the 13th!
Yesterday was one of those days where it was all just a bit too much. This job is a continuous process of allowing myself to sit with the emotions, realise that is what makes me human, & that is okay.
I came back into work today to this, what a wonderful, wonderful team.
Honoured to have observed a Head & Neck surgery with @VinPaleri and the team today - incredibly interesting & great for my development with these patients in the post op setting. Big thank you!
Big thank you to @sarahvdewhurst & @SCDPhysio & all the amazing speakers who put on a fantastic conference regarding challenges to exercise implementation in the Oncology cohort. Lots to take away and think about! @trmeducation#RMExOnc ✨
It was great to spend some time with the Speech & Language team today. Saw a video fluoroscopy & had thought-provoking conversations on how to continually improve the service we offer our Head and Neck patients. Thanks @justinroe for your time & support 👍🏻
