@marigoldbutbad@EunoeVA Very hypothetically, you could luck out and find a project that is specifically looking for that type of sound. But, in most cases, they'd still prefer clean vocals and then apply effects in post.
@marigoldbutbad@EunoeVA The standard for VA work is an XLR mic. That is not to say its impossible to do VA with a headset mic-you can find an audio engineer to try to make it sound serviceable-but it'd be a harsh uphill battle to land any roles.
@marigoldbutbad@EunoeVA The biggest barrier to entry I see is often audio quality. Whether it be distortion or background noise. Many wonderful beginner VAs with excellent performances are overshadowed by poor audio quality.
Getting an XLR mic and finding a quiet space to record are great first steps.
I love Sonata No. 14 in C-Sharp Minor, Op. 27 No. 2 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
You probably know it by its nickname, "Moonlight Sonata": I. Adagio sostenuto, II. Allegretto, and III. Presto agitato.
📱💋But she doesn’t satisfy you anymore?

I walk into an IHop and see the waitress. 40 going on 60, three teeth to her name, and activity smoking a cigarette. I smile, knowing I am about to have the best breakfast of my life.
