I played around with openclaw over the weekend, what I ended up doing was setting my default model to haiku 4.5, this uses a tiny fraction of the tokens. I also made sure only 2 models were selected and enabled, now I’m barely using $2/day and request my haiku primary agent to query opus if deeper thinking needed.

Also need to run /compact and /new periodically to keep on top of the context window size (ask agent to store important stuff to memory before new)
