The @Brewers are calling up their No. 4 prospect, Luis Lara, for his MLB debut.
Lara, who is No. 67 on the Top 100, is slashing .321/.432/.470 for Triple-A Nashville this season: https://t.co/v5xJQaMXrm
BREAKING: Brewers prospect Luis Lara is in agreement on a 7-year, $31 million contract extension, per @JeffPassan . Club options and escalators are also included.
The Brewers lock up their 2nd top 100 prospect this season!
So far this season:
Jacob Misiorowski: 1.65 ERA, 13.69 K/9
Kyle Harrison: 1.57 ERA, 11.46 K/9
Since ERA became official in both leagues in 1913, no other MLB team has had 2 pitchers with a sub-2.00 ERA & 11.00+ K/9 at the end of any day in June or later (min. 10 starts each).
I appreciate the overall sentiment but I think this is a very naive take. First the information just came in & while the optics are absolutely brutal, Jacobs has denied it and both sides deserve to have their say in court. Furthermore, I’m not a legal nor domestic violence expert. Commenting on it in that realm would be naive. It’s well outside of my area of expertise. I do, however, cover the Packers. And people follow me for my thoughts on the Packers. Which is why, in this situation, I expressed the seriousness of the situation, but proceeded to talk, very lightly, about the Packers. There will be plenty of time to talk about the seriousness and talk through the problems of this once a verdict is decided on.
