If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.
@FellaJimboUK@andrewc44104127 Correct answer. As Bomber Harris famously said “They entered this war with the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind”
@Peter_De_Bakker@HPN2_0@DarthPutinKGB The threat to Putin was never NATO. That is the convenient pretext — not to excuse NATO and West’s poor leadership.
The threat to Putin is a democratic and prosperous Ukraine. An ex-Soviet country demonstrating to Russian people they don’t need autocracy and constant wars.
@KingKong9888 Doesn’t excuse Russian war crimes.
A appropriate analogy would be: Guy murders his ex-Girlfriend because years later she now wants the choose to date other guys. He says “she made me do it”.
He may feel aggrieved, but he’s still guilty of stabbing an innocent woman to death. 🤷♂️
