@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal Early Wednesday morning but still no confirmation for the flight? And why can't you email everyone today? So much waiting and suspense
@RobMcC11@UKinNepal@NicolaPollittUK Surely it'd be easier to send more than one flight at a time when you know you'll fill more than one easily and the airport only needs to be staffed the once 🤷♀️
@UKinNepal@NicolaPollittUK Maybe the UK does have more citizens stranded than those other countries but delaying will only make this problem seem bigger. Why don't you just tell us that it's a financial delay and you don't want to pay?
@UKinNepal@NicolaPollittUK Again, not answering most of those questions. Especially question 2 which is constantly dodged. Yes there’s a lot to do but that’s the same for all other countries!
@theoneria@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal And they're using @qatarairways which is apparently the plan for us! So what exactly is the delay? Nepal government are clearly OK- ing flights, qatar are clearly flying?
@DominicRaab why are our updates never updates? Why are other countries able to get numerous planes out of Nepal and we're 'still working on it'. Becoming a joke.
I promised to update you on flights to UK. Here’s the latest. We’re focused on securing an affordable charter flight for British tourists who want to go home. I hope that will come in by the end of next week. Still working hard to get it here as soon as possible. @UKinNepal
@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal So almost 3 weeks after the lock down was announced? I can't believe it's taking so long when other countries have had more than one flight already!
@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal Does not in the next couple of days mean it may take weeks? We need to know how long our remaining money needs to last and factor in flight costs?
@NicolaPollittUK@foreignoffice@UKinNepal This is great news!
Could we have some sort of idea of time frames (are we talking days or weeks)... This would really help those of us with limited budget to plan accordingly and get through the time
@NicolaPollittUK@foreignoffice@UKinNepal how is it that both the German and French embassy was able to get their citizens out within a few days of the lock down but we're almost into the second week?!
@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal Please say you are also working with the commercial airlines to make sure they don't massively increase their prices (as they have been doing) to make sure 🇬🇧 nationals can afford them?
@NicolaPollittUK@UKinNepal How do you expect people to wait this long when we know other countries are getting their citizens out and how do you expect people to be able to pay this? And how do you expect people to stay safe when they are being forced to go outside?
