Still feels surreal to know that I secured my first ever invite to the Pokemon World Championships. When I first started playing competitively, this never even crossed my mind as a possibility. This last season was a dream season for me and the result of a lot of hard work and growth. The biggest thing was that I stayed true to myself and played teams I enjoyed playing and just had fun with the ride. I can’t wait to give Worlds my best shot and enjoy the result of this season and to build off of it going into the next one and beyond.
There’s a million different people that I am forever grateful for having in my life and supporting me through everything. Those people definitely know who they are. The unfortunate point is that one of those people won’t be at worlds with me. Ashton was the first person I met in this community and has provided nothing but motivation and support for me ever since we met. Him not being with me at worlds absolutely breaks my heart because of what his friendship has meant for me. If it wasn’t for him, I definitely wouldn’t be in this position I’m in right now.
I guess I’ll see you guys in San Francisco!
