@OfFerventFires Roxy shrugged. This was the exact reason she didn’t want to tell anyone. She knew they’d freak out. “It’s different though, mum. I chose to be with him, everything has been consensual. I wasn’t forced to do anything so what’s the problem?”
@OfFerventFires Roxy looked at the ground, trying to gather the courage to tell the truth. “He’s...thirty or something, I don’t really know,” she replied quietly, refusing to look up from the floor.
@OfFerventFires Roxy bit her lip and went quiet for a minute. She didn’t know what to say that would make it better. “Nobody’s manipulating me, I promise...we love each other,” she replied quietly.
@OfFerventFires “My boyfriend bought it for me!” Roxy shouted at her, forgetting that it was supposed to be a secret. “Are you happy now? Can’t I have any privacy in this stupid house?”
@OfFerventFires “I’m not stealing anything!” Roxy snapped, offended by the idea. She thought maybe if she focused on the stealing that her mother would forget about the other questions that she was desperately trying to avoid.
@OfFerventFires “I was really with my friends,” Roxy insisted, trying to keep a blank expression. “I thought you’d freak out cause we were going to some party so I snuck out. I’m a teenager, it’s not that big of a deal!”
@OfFerventFires Roxy froze at the sight of Angelina, she hadn’t expected to be caught. She thought she was smart by coming and going through the window.
“I...was out with my friends, we went for a walk. That’s not a crime, is it?”
