@SaltSudoku If they had chased a rival when they were growing up, it would be clear to them. Seeing your PB get instantly undone by the other guy's and he didn't even practice much that week. Childhood sports was good for this realization, imo.
99% of the people who are whipping your ass in PvP games are better than you naturally and have put in even less time than you. They aren't "sweaty". They are just better and you can't close the gap in this lifetime.
I'm a big defender of emulation, but I don't think emulation feels 'off'
The truth is having an emulator with 1000s games makes it too easy to jump from one game to the next a on a whim.
Having the friction of getting up to turn off the system helps you commit to the game
@Plasma_Legion Yellow paint is the clearest indicator that the devs are actively working against the alleged intended audience. The design is compromised at that point because it is being made for no one.
