This Friday, September 25, join us in the Museum's CMA Theater to celebrate Dolly Parton Day! Enjoy a free screening of "9 to 5" and several other Dolly-inspired activities, including a butterfly-coloring station, a "9 to 5"-themed photo opportunity, and footage from the Museum’s Frist Library and Archive.

Parton wore this cowgirl outfit, made by the Western Costume Co., in “9 to 5,” and it’s currently on display in the Museum’s "Dolly Parton: Journey of a Seeker" exhibit, open through October 4. If you'd like to visit the exhibit prior to the film screening, gallery hours are extended until 7:00 PM, and tickets are available for purchase online.

Additionally, the Museum is one of twenty-one Middle Tennessee nonprofits taking part in Give Like Dolly – Middle Tennessee, a three-day giving campaign presented by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and the Music Community Foundation in celebration of Parton's lifelong generosity. From September 25 through 27, gifts made through the campaign to “Help Someone Find Their Song” support the Museum’s work, as well as four other local nonprofits that encourage youth creativity.
