A federal judge just ruled that Pritzker and Illinois Democrats violated the Constitution by giving illegal aliens in-state tuition and state financial aid that American citizens from other states could not get.

Those benefits also put them in direct competition with Illinois residents for limited seats and grant money.

And yet, @JBPritzker constantly calls Trump a threat to the Constitution.

I support our brave Chicago firefighters.

They had our brave firefighters in there today debating why Chicago should not allow single, staircase apartment buildings.

Our firefighters explained the dangers, the fire hazards, and the risks to citizens, first responders, seniors, children, and people with disabilities.

They spoke from real-world experience,,putting their lives on the line every single day to save others.

But instead of listening to the men and women who actually serve and protect Chicago, city officials brought in people who aren't even from Chicago to tell our firefighters what they think is best for our city.

This is how disrespectful City Hall has become toward our first responders. Rather than relying on the expertise of the people who risk their lives for Chicago every day, they would rather listen to outsiders who don't have to live with the consequences of these decisions.

Chicago's firefighters deserve respect. Their experience matters. Their voices should be heard.
