"If your revenue and cash flow scale with your capex, this market will fund whatever you want to spend, Microsoft just proved that." - ChartMill Market News Update $MSFT
$MSFT - 'Microsoft Delivered Exactly The Number The Market Needed'
Q4 revenue and operating income both climbed 18%, cloud growth accelerated to 43%, and - this is the part I care most about - operating cash flow of $55.4 billion was 30% higher than a year ago.
In my Longterm Portfolio since february 10th, 2026.
This is my personal (and very straightforward) basic screen for selecting high-quality U.S. stocks in @ChartMill , using the ChartMill general FA (Fundamental Analysis) score of at least 6/10, a financial health rating of at least 5/10, and, as an additional criterion, an ROIC higher than 10%.
๐จBreadth Turns Negative as Selling Spreads Across the Market.
The rating is lowered by one level from Tuesdayโs 3 (Neutral with a negative bias).
The downgrade is supported by several developments occurring simultaneously:
- More than 70% of stocks declined.
- Large decliners substantially outnumbered large advancers.
- All four moving-average participation readings are below 50%.
- Weekly and monthly decliners are close to 60% or higher.
- $SPY broke below its recent range, while $QQQ reached a critical support and long-term trend area.
ROBINHOOD MARKETS INC - A ($HOOD | โผ3.15%) reported a strong Q2 - revenue up 32% to $1.31 billion, adjusted EPS of $0.48 versus $0.43 consensus - but the stock still slipped about 3% after hours.
Crypto trading revenue collapsed 38% year-over-year to $100 million, and while equities, options and the newer event-contracts business more than filled the gap (event contracts alone brought in $156 million, up 10x), the market is still figuring out how to price a diversified Robinhood.
Management now runs thirteen product lines each doing over $100 million in annualised revenue, and the newly launched "Trump Accounts" already have 7 million signups and $1.5 billion in deposits. This is a very different Robinhood than the meme-stock-era version.
COCA-COLA CO/THE ($KO | โฒ5.00%) delivered exactly the kind of quarter you'd want in a market that suddenly cares about visibility again, strong Q2 revenue and profit growth and an upgraded full-year outlook.
The stock reportedly had one of its best sessions in years. In a rotation environment, this is what "quality defensiveness" looks like on a chart.

$AAPL climbed to a fresh record of $337 and its market cap ticked up to $4.942 trillion, enough to push past $NVDA $4.766 trillion and reclaim the title of the world's most valuable listed company. Given how much the AI narrative has dominated the past eighteen months, the symbolism is hard to miss: the market rewarded the company that hasn't set fire to tens of billions trying to build its own datacenter empire.
Whether that positioning is smart discipline or complacency gets tested Thursday, when Apple reports. The Street is modeling around 16% revenue growth and roughly 20% EPS growth to $1.89.
My read is that the print itself matters less than what management says about the pace of any AI-related product cycle, because right now, "we're taking it slow" is only a workable stance while the AI winners keep rewarding the market. If that changes, so does the Apple thesis.
A generic risk-management framework - 1% per trade, stop at entry, don't over-leverage - doesn't survive contact with a growth portfolio.
- Higher ATR.
- Tighter correlations on the days that matter.
- Sector/Industry concentration that position count doesn't see.
- And a market-regime dial that the generic playbook simply doesn't have.
