Tyler Callihan was ranked Pittsburgh’s 29th best prospect. Last night he hit his first two career homers. One of them off Shohei Ohtani. 💀🔥⚾
June 10 — Pirates 9, Dodgers 8. PNC Park.
Ohtani came in with a 1.06 ERA — the best in baseball. The Dodgers led 6-3 when he exited after 6.2 innings. A fifth straight win seemed inevitable.
Then Callihan happened.
He already hit his first career homer off Ohtani in the 4th — a 427-foot solo shot on a first-pitch 97.8 mph fastball. The third person EVER to homer off Ohtani in 2026. Then in the 8th, with two runners on and Pittsburgh trailing by two, Callihan came up against reliever Kyle Hurt. First pitch. 88.8 mph changeup. Three-run go-ahead blast. Curtain call. PNC Park erupted.
Brandon Lowe’s two-out two-run double in the 7th had already chased Ohtani. Spencer Horwitz added a two-run homer to stretch the lead to three.
Ohtani? He wasn’t done. Pinch hit a two-run homer in the 9th — his 12th of the season — to make it 9-8 and give the Dodgers a heartbeat. Gregory Soto shut the door for his 9th save.
First Pirates player to hit his first two homers in the same game since Ryan Doumit. Callihan took a curtain call on the dugout steps. He’s earned it.
Pirates playoff odds: 35.3% 📈
Dodgers playoff odds: 98.1% 📈

Braden Montgomery got called up from Triple-A this morning. By midnight he was a Chicago legend. 🖤🔥⚾
June 9 — White Sox 6, Braves 5 (10 innings). Rate Field.
The Braves came in with the best record in baseball at 45-22. Matt Olson gave them a 4-0 lead with TWO home runs in the first three innings. Chicago looked done.
Then Montgomery stepped up.
His first career hit? An RBI single in the 4th that made it 4-3. Then in the bottom of the 10th — two outs, down 5-4 — Montgomery connected on an 0-1 changeup from Braves closer Raisel Iglesias and sent it 343 feet over the left-field wall. Walk-off. Game over. Rate Field exploded.
In one night Braden Montgomery collected his first career hit, first career RBI, first career home run AND first career walk-off — only the fifth time in MLB history that has ever happened in a debut.
Miguel Vargas hit a two-run shot in the 3rd to begin Chicago’s comeback. Jacob Gonzalez tied it at 4 with an RBI single in the 7th. Mauricio Dubón put Atlanta back ahead 5-4 in the top of the 10th. Then Montgomery happened.
Ronald Acuña Jr. left in the 4th with left hamstring tightness. The Braves just can’t stay healthy. 👀
Erick Fedde started for Chicago — 5 innings, 4 strikeouts. Grant Taylor got the win with 2 clean innings.
White Sox playoff odds: 64 📈
Braves playoff odds: 99 📈

Josh Naylor walked into Camden Yards and immediately made enemies. 🔥⚾
June 8 — Mariners 6, Orioles 3. Camden Yards.
Naylor came into this series fresh off a controversy in Detroit — a collision with Tigers rookie Kevin McGonigle on Friday, then getting plunked on Saturday. New city. Same energy.
Tied 1-1 in the 5th. Bases loaded. Anthony Nunez delivered a fastball high and inside. Naylor turned on it and just snuck it over the tall wall in right field at Camden Yards. Grand slam. 5-1 Mariners. Game over.
“I think I hit it in the right area, and I guess that’s the name of the game in the bigs — hit it where they’re not,” Naylor said after.
His 7th homer of the season. 4 RBI on the night. Going 7-for-17 (.412) since Seattle opened their 10-game road trip. The guy who started the season 6-for-59 (.102) is officially awake. 👀
Randy Arozarena added 3 hits including a run-scoring single in the 8th. Emerson Hancock was brilliant — 5 innings, 1 run. Andrés Muñoz closed it out for his 10th save.
The Orioles? 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Three straight losses for the first time since getting swept by Tampa Bay in May. Pete Alonso 0-for-5. Colton Cowser 0-for-5.
Seattle is AL West leaders. 10 wins in their last 13 games.
Mariners playoff odds: 73.8% 📈
Orioles playoff odds: 23.5% 📉

Nobody told the Angels’ backup catcher he wasn’t supposed to be the story. 😇🔥⚾
June 7 — Angels 13, Dodgers 5. Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium.
Sebastián Rivero came into this game with 8 career RBI in 67 career games. He left it with 6 RBI in one afternoon. 5-for-5. Two-run single in the 2nd. Another single in the 4th. Another. Then an RBI double in the 9th to put the final nail in.
Rivero entered as a backup because starter Logan O’Hoppe got hurt. He’s been on the active roster since April 26. Nobody knew his name before today. Everyone does now.
Jo Adell wasn’t far behind. 4-for-5 with a 433-foot two-run homer in the 7th inning — his 10th of the season. Four runs scored. Zach Neto added a three-run blast. Jose Siri went 3-for-3, 2 RBI.
The bottom four Angels hitters — Adell, Madrigal, Siri and Rivero — went 13-for-15 with 10 runs and 10 RBI. That’s not a typo.
And Mike Trout? 0-for-13 with 6 strikeouts in the three-game series. On a day where his backup catcher stole the show.
The Dodgers threw 204 pitches. Sheehan lasted just 1.1 innings. Hernández gave up 6 earned runs in 1.2 innings. Complete bullpen implosion.

Eight pitches into the game. Luis García Jr. already had a home run. 💀🔥⚾
June 5 — Nationals 14, Diamondbacks 1. Chase Field.
García stepped in on the eighth pitch of the game off Merrill Kelly and launched a two-run shot inside the right-field foul pole. Washington never looked back.
Then came the 6th inning. Already leading 7-1 and bases loaded — García stayed in against lefty reliever Philip Abner. What happened next made his entire dugout erupt.
His first career grand slam. A shot so big he was shouting before he even touched first base. Career-high 6 RBI on the night. Two homers. 2-for-6. The most electric performance from a Washington hitter in years.
James Wood wasn't far behind. 419-foot solo shot in the 3rd — his 17th of the season. Scored 3 times. Lile added a homer. CJ Abrams homered. Five Nationals home runs total. 16 hits.
Foster Griffin was ice cold — 5 innings, 2 hits, 1 earned run, 4 strikeouts. No walks. The only damage? Backup catcher Aramis Garcia's solo homer in the 3rd.
Kelly lasted 5 innings, gave up 7 runs and 6 hits. When he left? The Diamondbacks brought in a position player — Adrian Del Castillo — to pitch the 8th. He hit the first batter. Two more runs scored.

Diamondbacks playoff odds: 35% 📉

Matt Chapman just had the greatest Giants offensive performance in years. And nobody saw it coming. 🔥⚾
June 5 — Giants 18, Cubs 3. Wrigley Field.
Chapman stepped in the 4th inning with the bases loaded off Edward Cabrera — and launched his fourth career grand slam. Six-run inning. Game over before anyone knew what hit them.
But he wasn’t done.
6th inning. Chapman up again. Three-run homer. Second homer of the game. Career-high 8 RBI on the night. The Giants’ sixth grand slam in just the last three weeks — tying the San Francisco-era record.
Willy Adames? Two home runs, 4 RBI. First one off Cabrera in the 1st to put SF up 2-0 right away. Second one to center in the 6th to extend the lead to 13-0. Casey Schmitt? Also two home runs, 3 RBI, 4 hits. Jonah Cox added a solo shot. SEVEN home runs total. 19 hits.
The Cubs threw six pitchers to survive the afternoon. Including catcher Carson Kelly who pitched the 9th inning. That tells you everything. 😂
Robbie Ray started for SF — 5 scoreless innings, 4 Ks. Efficient. The offense did the rest.
This comes one day after the Giants beat Milwaukee 12-9 with 20 hits. Back-to-back offensive explosions. 39 hits in two days.
Giants playoff odds: 1.1% 📊
Cubs playoff odds: 46.5% 📊

Aaron Judge is hurt. The Yankees won anyway. 🖤⚾🔥
June 4 — Yankees 2, Guardians 1. Yankee Stadium.
With Judge potentially facing thoracic outlet syndrome, Max Schuemann got the start in right field — his first career start there. He made TWO highlight-reel plays. A diving catch on Kwan’s sinking liner in the 2nd. A leaping catch on Rocchio at the fence in the 7th. The backup who nobody knew became the defensive hero of the night.
On the mound Carlos Rodón was exceptional. 6 innings, 7 strikeouts, 2 hits, 1 run. Cleveland’s Slade Cecconi matched him pitch for pitch — 6 innings, 4 hits, 1 run. Two pitchers. One run each. A masterclass in big-game pitching.
The difference? The 7th inning. Codi Heuer replaced Cecconi and walked Chisholm. A stolen base. A wild pitch. McMahon grounds through the right side. 2-1 Yankees. That’s all they needed.
Brent Headrick won it in the 7th. Fernando Cruz threw a perfect 8th. David Bednar closed it out for his 13th save. Eleven outs. Zero hits allowed by the Yankees bullpen.
Yankees playoff odds: 93.7% 📈
Guardians playoff odds: 84.8% 📈

Chad Dallas had never thrown a pitch in the big leagues. Last night he walked into Truist Park and outdueled Chris Sale. 🤯⚾🔥
June 4 — Blue Jays 7, Braves 2. Truist Park.
Atlanta came in with the best record in baseball. 98% playoff odds. Chris Sale on the mound at 8-3 with a 2.01 ERA. The Blue Jays had lost four straight. Everything pointed one way.
Then Chad Dallas — recalled from Triple-A Buffalo that very morning — showed up and silenced the best lineup in baseball. 3.2 innings, 1 run, 2 hits. His first career win in his MLB debut. Remarkable.
Myles Straw was the offensive engine. Three-run third inning — Straw singled in two runs, McAdoo added another. Blue Jays up 3-1. Never looked back.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 3-for-5 with a double and 2 runs scored. Ernie Clement also 3-for-5. The Blue Jays piled up 16 hits. Sale surrendered a season-high 10 hits in 5.2 innings. And when Reynaldo López came in? Heineman doubled in two more runs to put it away.
The Blue Jays snapped a four-game losing streak. In Atlanta. With a debutant starter.

Wake up, baseball fans. Logan Webb just reminded the world who he is. ☀️⚾🔥
June 3 — Giants 1, Brewers 0. American Family Field.
Webb carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning against one of the hottest teams in baseball. Six perfect innings before Sal Frelick drew a walk in the 6th — the first Brewer to even reach base. Then Brice Turang lined a single in the 7th to break it up.
That was all Milwaukee got.
One hit. Zero runs. 95 pitches. 4 strikeouts. A masterpiece in Milwaukee from a pitcher who came into the night with a 4.82 ERA and something to prove.
"I feel like I’ve not led the right way in my performance," Webb said after. "To be able to get healthy and throw the way I feel like I should — it was fun."
This was only Webb’s second start back from bursitis in his right knee. The real Webb is back. 👀
And the only run of the game? Victor Bericoto — a 24-year-old Venezuelan outfielder — hit his FIRST career home run in the 5th inning. Bat flip. Pure joy. One swing. That’s all it took.
Keaton Winn closed it out with 4 clean outs for just his second career save. Giants win 1-0.
Giants playoff odds: 0.7% 📊
Brewers playoff odds: 90.2% 📊

50 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings. Third best in baseball history. And Cristopher Sánchez just did it in 2026. 🤯⚾
June 3 — Phillies 3, Padres 2. Citizens Bank Park.
Sánchez was untouchable. Six clean innings before allowing a two-out double to Ty France in the 7th. Then an RBI single to Jackson Merrill ended the streak at 50 2/3 innings — the longest by a left-hander EVER, surpassing Hall of Famer Carl Hubbell's 45 1/3 set back in 1933. Only Orel Hershiser (59) and Don Drysdale (58) have ever done it longer. The whole stadium gave him a standing ovation mid-inning. 👏
And then — the 7th inning flipped everything.
J.T. Realmuto stepped in against Jason Adam. 422-foot solo shot. Gone. 🚀
Kyle Schwarber right behind him. Solo HR. His MLB-leading 23rd of the season. Back-to-back. Just like that — 3-1 Phillies.
Jason Adam? 0.2 innings. 2 HRs. 2 ER. 3 hits. ERA ballooned to 27 on the night. 😬
Jhoan Duran closed it in the 9th for his 14th save. Clean. Clinical. Done.
Sánchez record: 7-2. The best-kept secret in baseball is a secret no more.

José Ramírez walked into Yankee Stadium and reminded everyone who he is. 🔥⚾
June 2 — Guardians 9, Yankees 4. Yankee Stadium.
Tied 4-4 in the fifth. Bases loaded. Ramírez steps in against Cam Schlittler and doubles to break the tie. Then he doubled again in the 7th. Three doubles in three straight at-bats — only the fifth time in his Hall-of-Fame caliber career that has happened. Last time? August 26, 2024.
Ramirez finished 3-for-5, 2 RBI. Rookie Travis Bazzana added a massive 4-RBI night including the sac fly that tied the game before Ramirez took over. Kyle Manzardo went deep for Cleveland. The Guardians went 7-for-15 with RISP. Clinical.
Meanwhile the Yankees bullpen imploded. Doval came in and got shelled — 4 hits, 3 earned runs in one inning. Schlittler took the loss at 7-3. Despite Paul Goldschmidt going 3-for-5 with a HR and 4 RBI for New York — it wasn’t enough.
Cleveland is now 35-27. Quietly sitting at 84% playoff odds and surging. 👀

Oneil Cruz walked into Houston and absolutely wrecked the place. 💥⚾🔥
June 2 — Pirates 10, Astros 6. Daikin Park.
Astros jumped out 2-0 in the first. Yordan Alvarez cranked a two-run opposite-field blast off Bubba Chandler. The Astros looked in control.
Then the Pirates flipped the switch.
Endy Rodríguez stepped in the 2nd and launched a two-run homer to right-center. Initially ruled a triple. Replay overturned it. Homer. Game tied.
Then the 6th inning happened. 🔥
Cruz. Bases loaded. 2-2 count. 419 feet into the Houston bullpen. THREE-RUN HOMER. Pittsburgh never looked back.
Brandon Lowe added a 3-run shot to put it out of reach. Jake Mangum went 4-for-5 — tying a career high. Nick Gonzales 3-for-5. The Pirates absolutely mauled the Astros — 13 hits total.
Mike Burrows — facing his former team for the first time — lasted just 5 innings, surrendering 5 earned runs on 8 hits and 5 walks. The reunion went badly. 😂
Pirates 4th straight win. Bubba Chandler snaps a 7-start winless streak.

June 1 — Tigers 10, Rays 9. Tropicana Field.
Tampa Bay leads the AL East. 94.2% playoff odds. One of the hottest teams in baseball. Detroit walked in at 2.1% and put up a TEN spot.
Dillon Dingler was the story. Again.
4-for-5. Two home runs. 4 RBI. 4 runs scored. Entering tonight he was already slashing .283/.367/.566 with 11 homers and 34 RBI in 52 games. He is quietly having one of the best catching seasons in baseball. 👀
But Dingler wasn’t alone. Riley Greene went 3-for-5 with a homer and 3 RBI. Kerry Carpenter added a homer and 2 RBI. Hao-Yu Lee went deep too. FIVE Detroit home runs on the night. 14 total hits.
The Rays threw 156 pitches and still gave up 10 runs. Griffin Jax lasted just 4 innings, surrendering 6 earned runs on 7 hits including 3 home runs.

10 strikeouts. 1 earned run. 99.4 mph fastball. Paul Skenes was absolutely dealing.
He still lost. 😬⚾
May 28 — Cubs 7, Pirates 2. PNC Park.
Skenes struck out 7 of the first 8 batters. His sweeper was untouchable. 20 swing-and-misses in 5.1 innings. The stuff was electric.
But the defense? A nightmare. Two errors in the sixth inning opened the floodgates. Skenes tried to barehand a grounder up the middle himself — couldn't get it in time. Then Callihan airmailed a throw to first. Then Triolo bounced one past the bag. Three runs scored. Only one earned.
Ian Happ made them all pay in the 8th — a 2-run homer off reliever Brandan Bidois to put it out of reach. 3-for-5, 2 RBI on the night.
This is now 3 consecutive losses for Skenes — the first time in his career that has happened. The reigning NL Cy Young winner going 6-5 on the season. 👀

May 28 — Braves 10, Red Sox 2. Fenway Park.
Tied 2-2 in the sixth. Bases loaded. Acuña steps in against Greg Weissert and launches a 417-foot grand slam over the Green Monster to left-center. His 4th career grand slam. Third home run of the season. First since April 24. The man waited a month and picked the perfect moment. 👀
That's not all. Michael Harris II solo shot in the 7th. Ozzie Albies 3-for-5 with a 2-run homer in the 9th. Three home runs. Five-run 6th inning. Boston had no answers.
Chris Sale? 5 innings, 8 strikeouts against the team that traded him away. He's now 3-0 all-time against the Red Sox since leaving Boston. The audacity.

Eury Pérez was absolutely dealing — 9 strikeouts in 4 shutout innings. Then he hit Kazuma Okamoto with a 97 mph fastball and stared into the Blue Jays dugout. Manager John Schneider came out yelling. Benches got tense.
Pérez never finished the game. His hamstring spasmed in the dugout mid-stretch. Gone.
Next inning — Okamoto stepped in against Andrew Nardi. Got ahead 1-0. Then crushed a changeup into the Marlins bullpen. His 11th homer of the year. Team lead. First homer since May 5 after going 6-for-48 in his last slump. He picked the perfect moment to wake up. 👀
Marlins outhit the Blue Jays 11-5. Stranded 8 runners. Went 2-for-11 with RISP. Didn't matter.

Nobody told the Red Sox the Braves were baseball's best team. 🤯🔴⚾
May 27 — Red Sox 8, Braves 0. Fenway Park.
The team with the BEST record in baseball. 37-19. 95.8% playoff odds. Acuña. Olson. Riley. The whole lineup. Blanked. Zero runs. Nothing.
Connelly Early — a 23-year-old lefty most fans outside Boston couldn't name last month — walked into Fenway and threw 7 shutout innings. 7 strikeouts. 4 hits. Ice in his veins against arguably the best lineup in baseball.
Jarren Duran? Homer for the second straight night. Ceddanne Rafaela 3-for-5. Boston erupted for 6 runs in the 4th inning on 5 hits and 2 Atlanta errors. The Braves went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. ZERO.
Acuña 0-for-4. Olson 0-for-4. Harris II 0-for-4. The whole lineup just… nothing.
