Remembering the courage and sacrifice of the brave soldiers who endured the Bataan Death March. Proud to honor their legacy at the annual Bataan Memorial March hosted by the 1st Combined Arms Battalion 194th Armor Regiment at Camp Ripley. Together, we keep their memories alive.
I would like to take a moment and reflect on the 13 Service Members who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Abbey Gate Bombing in Afghanistan in 2021.
May their sacrifice never be forgotten.

Another impactful Memorial Day Ceremony put on by the Chaska American Legion. Great to see the Chaska Legion/Chaska VFW honor guard, Chaska HS/Middle School bands, and 98-year-old speaker Hollis Schwartz, a WWII veteran. We honor those who gave their lives serving our country.
Memorial Day Activities in Chaska:
➡️ Memorial Day Parade starts at 10am from Chaska Blvd/Pine St. It will feature the Honor Guard from the Chaska American Legion and Chaska VFW and end at Veterans Park.
➡️ Memorial Day Ceremony will be at Veterans Park following parade.

Army Veteran Jose Calugas was the only Filipino recipient of the Medal of Honor during World War II. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in the Battle of Bataan. He also received over 10 other military decorations and many civilian awards.
We honor his service.
