The deadline for Fantasy Premier League is 6.30pm (UK) Fri 15 August. Register a team before then on https://t.co/mHYjU404ji - that’s the important part - and then contact me to join the famous @ChateauBauduc mini-league, which is by invitation only. It’s free to join and the top 10 at the end of the season win some wine. DM @gavinquinney or email [email protected] for details and the league code. #fpl #bauducfpl
Excellent stuff as always from @GavinQuinney of @ChateauBauduc, do get in touch with your MP if you're concerned about the ill-thought-out changes to duty that are set to come into force early next year - details in the post https://t.co/W4YYiWkwEc
A joy to have magnums of our red 🍷at @tomgilbey’s son Freddie’s big day with Shekinah near Padstow in Cornwall.
(Served with the lovely local sparkling rosé from @camelvalleybob.)
We were so well looked after by Beth and Tom and huge thanks to them all. More pics @GavinQuinney
Kicking off the 2024 harvest with the young Sémillon for our Crémant de Bordeaux. It’s our 25th vintage, although we planted this parcel of vines in 2004 and the first vintage of our Crémant was the 2014.
More photos over on @GavinQuinney fwiw and on Insta. #paviethedog#bdx24
The harvest feels like it’s getting under way, as ever around the end of August, with the tasting and testing of the Sémillon bunches for our Crémant. (Much much earlier than for the red wines.) 2 bags of 200 grapes each picked from several rows for lab analysis. #bdx24#bdx2024
Taxing wine on % alcohol to every decimal place on labels (and that’s new too) is the most Brexity thing ever.
There will be over 200 bands of duty from 1.3% (lo alc) to 22%, replacing just a handful. Misguided, incompetent, anti-trade, anti-business and big drop in tax receipts.
