@gin_a_ding_ding I saw that you had a very sad and special day to celebrate so left you to it as we had plans also. Hopefully it went okay and you are in a better frame of mind now. I have said my piece on what we were discussing today. Goodnight 💤
@GinObsessions@gin_a_ding_ding Luckily we don't follow Sarah so no need for us to unfollow or block. A lot of the gin community are discussing this today. There are too many people who think it's okay to spew opinions with no backlash. Let's hope this is the last #unkind one from Sarah! 🙏
@gin_a_ding_ding@GinObsessions Oh harsh words darling!!! Anyway must rush, we are off out with our kids today. Maybe do something with yours instead of sitting at home being bitter towards #ISGD
@gin_a_ding_ding@GinObsessions Sadly not, seen what happens to people who go public with opinions and how their reputations get ruined, even you just feel that today? Happy just watching and staying anonymous for now.
@gin_a_ding_ding@GinObsessions I said that as you made it an open discussion we are allowed to comment with our thoughts. You think it's ok to reply with "I've apologised" well some people think it's a bit late for that.
@GinObsessions@gin_a_ding_ding Not mean, just having a personal opinion although the whole #bekind movement recently said if you don't like something or someone in your feed then unfollow or block. As Sarah opened this up for discussion (even though she did apologise) we feel the damage is already done...
@gin_a_ding_ding@IanMacGilp We see it as supporting the brands in the lead up to #ISGD. It's also not a conventional year so all support is appreciated for these guys. Have a heart Sarah!
@gin_a_ding_ding@gin_and_beer@theginshelf Isn't 95% of your gin gifted? Not seen you out supporting bars either. Talking about the tough times for the industry yet you sit there accepting freebies. Put your money where your mouth is 😜
@LorimerPam Pam, I think they're best summarised as cliques. An unavoidable ugly trait of social behaviour and pack mentality. Nothing to see here. Ignore. Move on.
But I bet the said person already has more gin than they can drink in a year. There are more than enough bloggers and reviewers around, so if you can't afford it just don't do it. Personally I think their reviews are cheapening the brand.
@Clublibrarian Same. Had someone say to me that the only way they could afford the gin to review was to be part of a group who could secure freebies, i just felt so sad that they felt that way. If you cant afford it then don't do it or buy a samples size and write pieces about the distilleries
