THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS ARE SUPER BOWL LX CHAMPIONS 🏆

Despite the offensive struggles on both ends, the @Seahawks still showed why they have the best defense in the league, nicknamed “Dark Side” for a good reason, but I’m still a bigger fan of the “Legion of Boom” that won Super Bowl XLVIII (2013). Anyway, congrats on the second! 🏆

The conference championships were where things really got intense!

Without going into detail, the @Patriots were mercilessly clobbered, with the @Seahawks scoring the only points of the first 3 quarters and taking a 12-0 lead into the 4th, where the Pats reacted but still ultimately lost 29-13. This was one of the worst @SuperBowl games ever! 😰

And finally, we get to the @SuperBowl itself, where the @Patriots and @Seahawks faced each other for the second time with a Lombardi Trophy on the line, the last meeting (Super Bowl XLIX) having been won by the Pats in 2014; and now, they were making their record 12th appearance!

Out of the 6 Wild Card games played, the first 4 (including the aforementioned @Panthers and @RamsNFL nail-biter) saw a total of 12 lead changes in the fourth quarter, and all of them were decided by a game-winning touchdown inside of the final 3 minutes. Freaking bonkers, man...

My favorite game of the NFC Wild Card round was the one between the @Panthers and @RamsNFL, because aside from being a superb game in and of itself, it was also marked by the Rams becoming the first @NFL team ever to face every team in their conference in the playoffs — TWICE! 🏈

You know what else was inconsistent? The @NFL Wild Card round! Gotta say, it was one of the craziest postseasons that I’ve ever witnessed a football fan — and the simple fact that it was the first time in 12 years that the @Chiefs didn’t make the playoffs only added to the drama!

We also parted ways with our quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, which was bittersweet since he had been with the @MiamiDolphins since 2020; he started his @NFL career with us after being drafted 5th overall in the 1st round and is actually a pretty decent QB, albeit too inconsistent...

Afterwards, we went on to lose 3 out of the remaining 4 games, including a 10-38 blowout loss to the @Patriots in Week 18, making it our first time being swept by them since 2016. Less than a week after this fiasco, head coach Mike McDaniel was finally sacked (mild pun intended).

Unfortunately, our Week 15 loss to the @Steelers officially eliminated us from playoff contention — and to further pour salt in the wound, this result also gave us a 0-3 record against the NFC North, having lost to the @Browns and @Ravens before in Week 7 and Week 9 respectively.

At this point in the regular season, the @MiamiDolphins were giving us fans a glimmer of hope, because we had mounted an unprecedented comeback to reach a 6-7 record (tying with the @Chiefs at the time) and look ahead to the AFC Wild Card race. All we needed to do was keep going.

I can’t really gauge what went wrong for us, but if I could sum up our biggest problem in one word: INCONSISTENCY.

We started off pretty badly, going 1-6 before picking up some steam midway through the season and winning 5 out of the next 6 games, which included 4 straight wins.

And to think, the 2025 season was our 60th overall in franchise history, coincidentally running parallel to the most recent Super Bowl LX (60). Anyway, we ended up going 7-10 and missed the @NFL playoffs by a mile, making this an even worse outing than our 8-9 record last year...

Watching football this season as a @MiamiDolphins fan has been a headache. You’d think that a team with such a strong offense would, at the very least, be a contender for the postseason. But, we failed to even make the Wild Card round and ultimately finished with a losing season.

This is a really good take on your part, although I only partially agree; big IPs should indeed take an extended hiatus in order to polish up ideas for future entries, but I think that waiting 15 to 20 years is too much...

More games should start going the Hollywood route and do legacy sequels that build on previous lore instead of just coming up with half a dozen new gameplay mechanics with better graphics and then slapping a big “2” or “3” next to the name.

With that being said, I like how the indie gaming medium has been growing and competing with bigger IPs every year so each new generation can break free of the AAA stigma — I see a lot of kids today choosing ‘Stardew Valley’ and ‘Hollow Knight’ over ‘Call of Duty’ and ‘Gears of War’, for example, which is good for small devs! 🎮
