@MoHFW_INDIA , the professional codes for Medical MSc & PhD holders. Requested to recognize the professional groups and register .
@NMMTA_Assn one step at a time for professional recognition of Medical MSc & Medical PhD professionals.
To
Hon’ble Health Minister Sri Satya Kumar Yadav ji, Government of Andhra Pradesh @satyakumar_y
Sir, we respectfully seek an early clarification regarding recent media reports on the recruitment of Medical https://t.co/Uvfzb3IEhM./Ph.D. candidates to non-clinical faculty positions in Government Medical Colleges. We are concerned that some reports following the recent meeting with APJUDA may have inadvertently misrepresented the position, creating confusion and anxiety among qualified candidates.
The NMC Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations, 2025 permit Medical https://t.co/Uvfzb3IEhM./Ph.D. degree holders to serve as faculty in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology. The Central Government has also restored their eligibility for up to 30% of faculty positions in these five disciplines. Many candidates are highly trained graduates of institutions including NTRUHS, MAHE, AIIMS and JIPMER, and have contributed to medical education and healthcare, including during COVID-19.
We humbly request the Hon’ble Minister to kindly clarify the Government’s position and ensure that recruitment decisions remain consistent with the prevailing NMC regulations, thereby protecting the legitimate career prospects of hundreds of qualified Medical https://t.co/Uvfzb3IEhM./Ph.D. candidates in Andhra Pradesh.

FAIMA has urged the NMC to exclude https://t.co/Uvfzb3IEhM–Ph.D faculty from PG guideship and examination roles for MD/MS students.
NMMTA strongly opposes this approach.
https://t.co/Uvfzb3IEhM–Ph.D faculty in Medical Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology & Microbiology are recognized faculty of medical institutions under the 2025 Regulations. They have been teaching medical students, conducting research and contributing to postgraduate education for more than seven decades.
A teacher with an M. Sc Medical + Ph.D in a specialized medical discipline cannot be presumed academically inferior simply because they do not possess an MBBS.
Clinical competence and research competence are different things. A clinician should assess clinical skills and patient management. But when the question is research in basic medical sciences, why should the scientist who is specifically trained in that science be excluded?
Indeed, an https://t.co/Uvfzb3IEhM–Ph.D researcher may possess greater research expertise than an MD faculty member without doctoral research training.
The real criterion must be subject expertise, teaching experience, research competence and demonstrated academic ability-not professional identity.
NMMTA stands for merit over hierarchy, competence over credentialism, and collaboration over professional exclusion.
Different qualification does not mean inferior competence.

This is for the information of those obnoxious individuals who constantly spread misinformation and misinterpretations, seeking to validate themselves by falsifying the truth and spreading propaganda against @NMMTA_Assn . Members must recall #WallofShame. They owe us an apology!
There is an association who wants to create a great regional divide among Medical MSc/PhD professionals .
@NMMTA_Assn association is collecting views from its esteemed experienced multi dimensional members on the matter of NCAHP draft regulations and respond accordingly .
@NcahpOfficial As per your definition & scope of work Medical MSc post graduates & PhD(med) shouldn't be termed as Life science professionals. As per CEA guidelines they are signatory authorities in Biochemistry & Microbiology in Clinical laboratories. Change/remove accordingly.
The way a section of the Dr. community is reacting as if Medical MSc -PhD is introduced with TEQ - 25. They forget many of them were not even born from when these courses were running with successful employment outcomes.

We are thankful to @NMC_BHARAT for timely updating the amendment to MSR 2023.
We would also like to request the Commission to amend the examinership issue in CBME 2024 guidelines and include eligible Medical MSc/PhD teachers.
@NMMTA_Assn
@NMMTA_Assn Majority of the Medicos of pre & para clinical subjects are threatened by the recruitment of Non M.B.B.S( Medical Msc PhD) faculty , that too who are in the system from years.
What an insecurity!
NMMTA has never paused, never stopped.
We remain hopeful that the need to struggle for opportunity with dignity will soon be behind us. While some challenges persist, we trust they will be resolved in due course.
We are not here to take anyone’s job. We have been an integral part of medical education for decades-supportive, committed, and collaborative. It’s time to stop undermining our contributions.
Since its inception in 2013, the association has been actively working for its members. NMMTA will continue to grow, advocate for the rights and recognition of teachers with medical MSc./Ph.D. qualifications, and uphold the values of sincerity and excellence in medical education.
It is truly heartening to see the real face of "standards" in Indian medical education revealed - not through peer-reviewed research or academic audits, but via CBI raids and corruption exposés! From ghost faculties to fake inspections and astronomical bribes, the system has outdone itself.
The same system that routinely questions the qualifications of medical https://t.co/Uvfzb3IEhM./Ph.D. teachers seems to have no trouble certifying phantom professors and pocketing crores.
While qualified and experienced teachers are being hounded over technicalities in the name of “standards,” institutions run with forged documents and bought recognitions are churning out future doctors. Surely, this must be what “competency-based” education really means?
We are appalled-but not surprised. When regulators are more concerned about excluding non-clinical professionals than fixing foundational rot, this is the outcome. The NMC, urgently needs scrutiny-not just for corruption, but for structural bias, opacity, and ineffectiveness.
We call upon the Hon'ble Prime Minister @PMOIndia to take immediate cognizance of the systemic collapse in regulatory oversight. It’s high time the NMC is restructured to include non-doctor experts-from educators, scientists, and public health professionals-so it reflects the diversity and complexity of modern medical education.
Enough of the hypocrisy. Either fix the system-or stop pretending there's one.

@gandiv_arjun@RenukaCCongress@AnupriyaSPatel Govt should look into policy before anything published. As NMC do favour to one set of people inspite of govt orders. Now MSc medical teachers are Pharm & Micro people are sufferer who are eliminated from system. How person can ineligible to teach overnight as per guideline
@RenukaCCongress & @RahulGandhi both are requested to meet us to know about the other half story . It's more than 5000 people with masters and PhD whose professional life is at stake.
Interestingly created by Congress govt. to support medical education, when there was none.
@RenukaCCongress@RahulGandhi@JPNadda ji & @AnupriyaSPatel
5 years since we have been suffering. You gave us hearing. You cant control NMC despite having an act of power. U r waiting for the court's reply to take action. But if you could act ur power in the first place, there was no need of going to court.
@RenukaCCongress ,@RahulGandhi , @AnupriyaSPatel ,@JPNadda
All should be aware of the fact that globally MSc/PhD teachers teach basic sciences in medical colleges. mumbo jumbo of CBME curriculum isnt sufficient arguments for non inclusion of Medical MSc/PhD teachers.
@RenukaCCongress due to change in policy hundreds of Medical MSc/PhD qualified are stuck without progression many have lost jobs in mid career. The country has used these brains like a tissue paper during the need for more than a half century & u are asking the rationale..
@RenukaCCongress you wanted to know the rationale! in a simple word remove science from Medical Science and see what is left . A glorified adjective only. 1969 under congress rule only these qualified individuals were brought to the system. You should have studied the matter.
@RenukaCCongress & @AnupriyaSPatel
Medical MSc /PhD qualified teachers are part of Medical education for more than 50 years. TEQ1998, made it legitimate in the MCI regime. NMC TEQ 2022 reduced the optional percentage & zeroed to Micro & Pharma depts.
Many people in today's #medicaleducation are unaware that medical https://t.co/Uvfzb3I6se courses were introduced in medical colleges specifically to create teachers for non-clinical subjects in MBBS programs.
The https://t.co/Uvfzb3I6se and MD courses in subjects like Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology and Pharmacology are identical in structure and content.
Both are conducted concurrently in the same department, by the same faculty, using the same curriculum, syllabus, teaching methodologies, and resources.
The objectives of both courses are the same, and students from either program are assessed through similar examination patterns.
The degrees awarded are also comparable, granted by health universities under the faculty of medicine.
Unfortunately, many haters believe that https://t.co/Uvfzb3I6se courses are meant for research, failing to recognize that the primary goal of these courses is to create teachers for MBBS teaching.
Here are some references of prospectus of medical https://t.co/Uvfzb3I6se courses. Hopefully, some eyes will now open!!
