On Wednesday our Year 6 students from all feeder schools took part in the second transition day at TCA. The students enjoyed taking part in a variety of lessons with a theme of magic. Creating a rhyming spell in English, participating in some benchball, dodgeball and relay races.

The Apprenticeship Service came in today to speak to Y11 about Apprenticeships and how and when to apply. Followed by an opportunity to register with the Apprenticeship Service to make sure they have alerts on the latest vacancies.

Year 13 enjoyed a session from Higher Horizons on student finance this morning. They are now ready to do their finance applications.

TCA Public Speaking Team went to Concord College to complete in Round 2 of the ESU Competition - they were very unfortunate not to go through to the Regional Final. They were fantastic and a real credit to themselves and the community.

National Apprenticeship Week 2023 - starts off at TCA with all year groups taking part in activities informing them about apprenticeships. Y10 and Y11 attended a webinar hosted by Bentley Motors and Years 7. 8 & 9 learnt about the basics of apprenticeships through research & egs

Awesome day! MADE Training in today with Y11, covering Revision techniques and how to achieve those marginal gains that will make for great outcomes at GCSE.

This was followed by a parent's workshop at the end of the day.

Great to welcome ex student @chloethewelder (Chloe Sales) to talk to Amber about future options for engineering and STEM. Chloe has been a great ambassador for women in engineering over the years.

Our Year 9 Sports Leaders ran a fantastic Basketball Festival yesterday afternoon. 5 teams from our local primary schools learnt some new skills and competed in a tournament showcasing their new talents. After a competitive afternoon the Dallas Maverickswere crowned champions.

Today we hosted our Year 2 Multi Skills transition event at The Cheadle Academy. Year 10 sports leaders led a fun session of jumping, running, throwing, catching and skipping to the Year 2’s from all our feeder primary schools. A great afternoon of sport – enjoyed by all.

Cheadle Aspire

In 2018 we launched Cheadle Aspire. It was designed to
raise engagement and challenge beyond the classroom
for our Year 7 students. Each department has produced
a number of criteria to encapsulate an exceptional
learner in their subject.
