Last year, I had the tremendous privilege of shooting this short documentary about a corner store in #Calgary. I first encountered The Alberta Corner Store while working on a film called The Order, and quickly fell in love with the store and the family who owned it. It was a story I felt needed to be shared.

In a world of being put on hold by chatbots... we sure need more Mrs. Kims in our neighbourhoods.

Gentle reminder that negative stories will always generate more clicks than positive stories. Every “the sound stages are empty, the industry is over” headline is designed to generate a click. If you let this mentality consume you, you will always feel awful. You will be overwhelmed with “woe is me”. I know more people than ever making stuff. I know more people than ever selling scripts and getting auditions. Careful with what you consume and where you place your thoughts.
