@nathandg12 @joedmoore1979 Sydney pour millions of their own dollars into making their academy the most successful in the country to develop these kids into the stars they are today. They also have to give up other draft picks in order to bid on them. It’s most definitely not for free.

@TommyCarullo Bottom clubs trading away prized draft picks for more experienced players with lower ceilings is a pretty poor way to rebuild though, yes it would get North off the bottom quicker but it wouldn’t get them very far. They should get a few years out of the bloke they used pick 1 on.
