Mark my words, if this guy wins the presidency again, he’s going to fuck something up that a Democrat will have to come in and fix again once his term is done.
@treygwavy@KiKo4kt@AlexSmith7145 Characters made dumb choices in horror films and it’s just accepted because that’s the genre. A good concept is the hook, and you build from there.
Drama is different. People won’t accept characters making dumb choices just to serve a story. That audience expects more.

Dune (1984) gets written off, even by Lynch, but the film’s worldbuilding is doing its own thing. Baroque sets, strange textures, and a future that feels alien in a way few sci-fi films even attempt. It’s rough, but there’s nothing else like it.
@CaptainThew@rkylesmith I get that. But then again, this is also Twitter. People come here for engagement. I wish it was a place for actual good faith conversation, but that’s not the case. The hive will set their sights on anyone who dares to criticize <insert thing> and the onslaught will overwhelm.
Survive. Reproduce. Fulfill your role within the ecosystem.
Somewhere along the way, learn a few things. Have some fun. Laugh. Enjoy music and art. Get better at something. Live a life worth living, however it is that you define that. Make someone else’s life better in some way.
@wadebrazoswood@FactsAboutTexas Who initially fucked up the response to COVID, told everyone it was going to be a cold, and then just started printing money left and right through PPP and other initiatives?
@wadebrazoswood@FactsAboutTexas So you show me a graph where they go up under a Republican president, briefly go up but then down under a Dem, up and down under a Republican, up then down under a Dem, and have still refused to full address Trump II’s increase. Great job, my guy. You’re on top of it. #moron
