In 2021 I cooked montly international meals.During 2022, having received more cookbooks for Xmas, I will attempt to cook recipes from different Chefs each week.
@marcuswareing inspired by your #TalesFromAKitchenGarden@BBCFood cooked bbq chicken with ras el hanout & wild mushrooms & sour dough. Even tho a shop bought chicken the flavours were immense . Exotic mixed wild mushrooms @Tesco were great. can't wait for the book. Fab ๐
@ChefTomKerridge Shawarma Chicken on Yoghurt flatbreads #outdoorcooking Didn't bbq, grilled chicken under high heat. Flatbreads cooked in cast iron pan. Marinade on Chicken: could taste all the spices, sauce easy to prepare, red cabbage so tender, #lush will definitely do again.
@PaulHollywood Stilton & cheese flatbreads.Cooked last week & frozen.Had today, thawed & re-heated so the Stilton oozed. Served with sun-dried garlic & herb roasted chicken, fresh green salad accompanied by @ChefTomKerridge salad dressing from his outdoor cooking book. #lush
@PaulHollywood Savoury Choux buns with Creamy Mushrooms.Bit disappointed with the choux. Followed the recipe exactly but they were very doughy.Split them as recommended, cooled on a rack. Any advice very welcome.Filling a tad too creamy but nice.Served with salad. Could be great
@PaulHollywood flatbreads, easy to prepare, great texture. Used as a base for @DeliaOnline remains of our easter sunday's treat of lamb cooked in red wine. Delicious. Great combination. Thanks both
@PaulHollywood Easter isn't Easter without Paul's Hot Cross Buns. My go to recipe. So much better than any shop bought ones. Fab flavour. Look forward to next year!!
@AngelaHartnett Chicken with chorizo, sage, with spiced aubergine. Easy to follow recipe, very tasty mix of flavours, lovely dinner. Loved the spiced aubergine accompaniment.
@AngelaHartnett @GBMofficial Cote de boeuf, wild mushroom, gnocchi gratin.Lots of prep, needs time, but worth it.Gnocchi gratin a relevation.Could taste all ingredients.Angela is a great honest chef without any airs & graces. Loved this week & will cook her recipes again & again.
@AngelaHartnett Chicken stir fried with pak choi. Longer to prep (30 mins) than to cook, less than 10 mins. Fab flavours, great textures from the veg, made a change with the pak choi rather than noodles. This will be a go-to stir fry from now on.
@AngelaHartnett Creamy Mushroom Vol_au-Vents.Very retro but oh so tasty.Great filling. We made 3 large ones, Angela says would make a light lunch; we had them for dinner & didn't need any accompaniments. Very easy to do. Brilliant
@AngelaHartnett week Summer pot-roasted chicken with herb https://t.co/jckGvW2J1G for 2 so used 3 chicken thighs.Easy one-pot dish. Served with fusilli rather than potatoes.Stirred the pasta with the herb sauce.Don't be frightened of the anchovies or olives.Great flavour. Thanks
@DeliaOnline@DeliaSmithNCFC Lambs liver with melted onions & marsala, sliced potatoes baked with tomato & Basil.Very enjoyable, plenty of prep required but well worth it & didn't have to stand over it until last couple of minutes cooking the liver. Fab,would recommend & do again
@DeliaOnline@DeliaSmithNCFC Pork braised in cider vinegar sauce served with potato & apple rosti, spiced sauted red cabbage with cranberries.Ab fab. Best rosti we've done. Pre-boilng potato great tip. Cabbage fantastic.Pork tender. Sauce & all worked so well.Full of flavour ๐
@DeliaSmithNCFC@DeliaOnline Chicken with sherry vinegar & tarragon sauce. Easy to prepare & cook.Great flavours.Subtle home grown french tarragon flavour perfect.Served as recommended with new Lincolnshire potatoes and Petit pois. Can't fault it. Good honest cooking
@GordonRamsay Duck Breast with Spring Greens & Gooseberry Sauce. Simple to prepare, great flavours. Spring Greens cooked this way is definitely the way forward. Sauce delicious.
@GordonRamsay Roast Rump of Lamb with Herb Couscous. Lucky we have a great butcher as thin shop bought meat wouldn't have worked. Great flavoured couscous, a nice change from veg, but felt needed the spiced aubergine puree that was recommended in the recipe. Easy & quick. Great.
@GordonRamsay Honey Mustard Pork Chops & New Potato Salad. Pork marinade easy to do, kept basting while cooking on the griddle.Potato Salad was the best with immense flavours of mint, honey, mustard & oil dressing.Won't use mayo in a potato salad again.Definitely a go-to recipe.
@GordonRamsay Chicken with Petit Pois a la francaise.Had no Petit pois so used frozen garden peas & replaced pearl onions with chopped leek.Had roast chicken on Sunday for 2 of us so used the uncooked half for this dish.Smelled fab while cooking and tasted great, sauce delicious
@BrianTurnerChef Cornish Caudle Chicken Pie.Followed recipe but had left over uncooked veg for his pasty added this with onions. Cream & egg mixture poured into the pastry made it creamy, maybe next time add cheese to it ? Did leave pastry to puff up longer than recipe suggests.
